Photopass Discount Plus

I did mine yesterday and I just checked my cart and it has the credit sitting there waiting for me. I wish I had bought another one for our Oct trip!!

nope, no longer works.

I did the special last December and also had a code for a free movie cd. It was in my cart and everything; later Disney took it back, saying it cannot combine the 2, enough though it was fine in the cart. ah well. :confused3

It was fraud enough for the code to be put in the system and long enough for it to be posted on a bunch of websites???? Makes no sense.

Anywho...mine says "processing". I received a confirmation email yesterday though. Do they usually say this? We've never done one of these before.

Look in your account. It should say you have 1 CD credit. Thats what mine says

Is the $99 a good deal though? How much is it normally? Is this where you can have all of the pictures taken in the parks and then you get them on a CD and order the ones you like?

TIA

If you already took your trip I would still try the link for the pre-pay $99 CD. A friend of mine returned and then used the facebook link to get the discount. It worked. It's always worth a try.

it is normally 150 I think. So the more pictures you take the better. And hten you can add borders to them as well. So you could have several of the same picture with mulitple borders and then pick and chose what you want to print when you get it.

When I ordered my photos from Shutterfly some of the border was cut off the pictures, has anyone else had this issue?

So glad I preordered mine the other night...didn't want to preorder it so early for our Dec. trip, but I had a feeling that they would catch on to the double discount and stop it.

From Stitch Kingdom: Set the photo size to your intended print size - This is the biggest gotcha! of the Disney's PhotoPass system and it's not entirely their fault. By default, original photos are in 4x6 proportions, but once you go to enhance or edit a photo, it switches to 5x7 format. (Because no standard photo sizes are in proportion to each other, cropping will occur if you print a photo edited for one size in another format).

So if you print any "edited/bordered" photos from photopass you should print them in 5x7. When you print in 4x6 it will cut off the borders. If you go on Stitch Kingdom there is a section on "editing the photos online" -- There are some photos examples of a 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 and how the borders are cut off. Hope this helps. I printed my 5x7 at costco and they were very cheap.

hope this helps

Thanks! I think I will go ahead and order it now then.

correct me if I'm wrong but for those of you who have ordered so far ahead, I thought you only had so many days to use it by or it expired?

I have read somewhere on the bopards that when you are editing on the site you can also change the size so that you can then edit borders for a 4x6 size.

That is how it was. But the fine print now says there is no expiration.

the "clock" doesn't start ticking until you enter your photopass ID. at least that's what they told me. I ordered ours for our Sept trip and they said that the credit would remain in our cart until we ordered. Now, once you enter your Photopass ID number, I believe you have 30 days to edit / order the pics before they're gone...someone correct me please if this is wrong.

but as far as the credit, they said that it doesn't expire. (it's already been paid for in advance...)

Hi I know once you enter the photos ect the clock starts but you may want to call them I remember when I went last year I couldn't order too early because they told me it would cancel thanks

I have read somewhere on the boards that when you are editing on the site you can also change the size so that you can then edit borders for a 4x6 size

That's exactly what you need to do if you will be ordering 4x6 prints, not 5x7. Disney automatically formats to 5x7 so if you want all your prints to be 4x6 you need to save them as 4x6. This is only necessary when you add borders, etc. If you don't add anything to the picture you can keep them as 5x7 and then when you order 4x6 it will cut off a little on each side of the photo but it shouldn't affect the overall look.

Doing this can mean you will have way more pictures than you originally thought. Especially if you aren't sure if you will be ordering 4x6 or 5x7 of your editted pix. If you aren't, you'll need to save both sizes.

Have fun!

That was the way it used to be. But the fine print now says it won't expire

You ordered on the old promotion (that wasn't technically supposed to be available to the public). This one is brand new with new rules.

I love the budget boards. I found out about military discounts, getting the biggest bang for your buck on snacks and qsd and the $99 photopass special. Now the 20% discount! How much more money can I save before I go! Thank you so much!

Thank you for the editing advice! I didn't know that the pictures defaulted to 5x7 and I would have had a lot of cut off borders!

Thanks again!

Can someone explain how to save my photopass pictures as 4x6? I went to my albums and don't see that option- or any indication of the print size other than on the order form.

Thanks!
