Is the PhotoPass CD a) worth it at the pre-order price and b) still refundable if you don't like the pics? We're doing this trip on a budget, and are willing to splurge a little on some things if they're really a good value.

It is still fully refundable so I think it is a big risk not to preorder. So far it has always been worth it to us and we always end up getting the CD. I will say last year was a close call though and we would have probably have asked for a refund if it was not for our BBB and Jedi Training pictures. We came back with 800 pictures on our photopass account and honestly the majority of them were not good. However, the ones we took at BBB and Jedi training were amazing so we still got the CD.

In previous years we have always just taken a small point and shoot camera and counted on photopass to supplement. We will not be doing that anymore. We will still preorder the CD just in case but will take more of our own pictures to be safe.

Also, note that the preorder price is going up by $30 in a few days so if you are planning to preorder you may want to do it before that.

I was looking into this also. Thanks for the info, I din't know it was refundable if you don't like the pics.

So, how does something like Jedi Training work? They have a photographer already there and he just snaps pics away or do you have to say "That ones mine" and the photographer only photos the one kid?

The photographer is there and takes pictures throughout the whole class. At the end of the training they will hand all the parents of participants a slip of paper. You take the slip to the photostore that is on your left right before you exist DHS. They will pull up all the pictures taken of that class and you pick out your child and they add it to your photopass. We have done it three times and the pictures are always excellent.
