Was wondering if anyone has added their own photo`s to photopass. We tried to do this yesterday it took hours and seemed to be loading, then when all the phtos looked like they had loaded we were told there had been an error, so hours later we still don`t have any of our photo`s added.

Thanks

I don't bother because you can only use your uploaded photos (your own ones) for photo gifts. They don't get added onto the CD, so I guess it depends what you want to do with them as to whether it is worth the effort. ;)

Hi
Thanks for the reply. We`ve just gone back into photopass and it seems they have been added but not under the name we chose..we have edited some of them but felt sure I had read they were included in the CD, hope now we havn`t wasted our time!

Any photos you uploaded will not be included on the standard Photo CD - you can pay for this:
Personal Photo Archive CD - $19.95

* Convenient, archival backup for the photos you have uploaded to DisneyPhotoPass.com
* Includes your uploaded photos PLUS any Disney borders you may have added
* Your photos are burned onto a high-quality CD disc and protected by a plastic case

Get peace of mind when you back up your photos using the Personal Photo Archive CD.

sure you only get the photos disney had taken,if you upload photos these are for gifts and the such,
We just got our CD then we copied the best ones to a new disc with our own photos and added music

I thought I could upload my own last year I did a few then stopped thankfully I found out they wouldn't be included. I think it must be badly worded somewhere because I thought they were included to start with.

Wording taken from here

"The PhotoCD will not include any of your personal uploaded photos."

It is badly worded. I know it looks clear from the text posted above, but it isn't prominently displayed IMO. I also read it to include your own photos a couple of years ago and only when I asked at the Photo Centre at Epcot, after about an hour with the CM, did I finally get the facts laid out on simple terms. Your pics are not included on the disc. To be honest, you are better off financially just making your own photogifts online locally with your photos locally.

I did upload some of ours, with much effort I must say, but I was using them in our photo book :thumbsup2

Thank you for all your replies. Think Disney do need to put this a little more clearly especially with the instructions for uploading your pictures. :headache:

I agree. Although I know now, I very nearly fell for that one as well. I have, on more than one occasion in the parks' photo centres, been asked if I would like to add my own pics to my Photopass account. Since the 'account' is typically sold as a CD/CD package, one would assume that your own pictures would feature on there.

At least you checked first. Given how painfully slow it is to upload and edit photos on their site, you have probably saved yourself enough time to give yourself a long weekend. ;)

At least we found out in time! thanks.

Wish there was a site where you could add a few borders etc to your photos so they look holiday`ish..if you know what I mean? but we havn`t found one yet!

think reason they don't let you add on is so they can control the content
Paul

We`ve decided not to bother, the borders etc are very limited - nothing like the photopass ones!
