So what is the difference between Photomatix Pro and Photomatix Light?? It appears that they both align your bracketed photos, but I am not sure I see the added benefit of spending an extra $60. Can anyone help shed some HDR light on the subject? Thanks!!

When I was looking at them, they had one that included plug ins for Photoshop and one that didn't can't really remember what else was different.

I just got CS5 though and it's HDR features so far seem as good as the results I was getting with PhotoMatrix, and I haven't really worked with it too much yet.

From what I can see, there are three different levels of Photomatix: Pro, Pro Plus Bundle, and Light. The Pro Plus Bundle is out because it appears the only plug-in it provides is for CS3/4/5 and I have Elements. So that brings me to my current situation. The Pro seems to also include reduction of ghosting, noise and chromatic aberrations, and powerful batch processing. Thoughts?

If your sure that Photomatrix is the way you want to go, then you can get the light and if it doesn't have all the features you want you can upgrade for the difference

Note: If you buy a license of Photomatix Light, you can later upgrade to Photomatix Pro for the $60 price difference between both products.

They also have some academic pricing if you can qualify as well. That was how I bought it when I did.
