Question: Has anyone on here done this? How much? Details?
I'd love to have GREAT family vacation shots without ME being the photo taker!

When i was there in March we saw people doing Save the date photos with paper props and DF and i thought it was SO cute!

So far i like Randy Chapman and the Roots.....
LMK any thoughts you might have! thanks

From my understanding, you cannot have a professional photography session done in any of the Disney World parks.

You might be able to do something in the parks if you use Disney Fine Art Photography & Video....However, I've heard that the in-park sessions are reserved for wedding couples only. The only other choices are around the resorts.

Most photographers in Florida will not agree to photographing in the parks, as they could be sued by Disney, banned by Disney from their parks, and lose their credibility as photographers overall.

The photographer I used for my engagement photos said no to the parks, and so we chose the Boardwalk area instead. They turned out wonderful!

However, you will get some photographers that are willing to be secretive and go into the parks to get you the photos you want. They will charge you a session fee and you will have to pay for their park ticket(s) as well.

It's up to you on how you wish to go about it, but let me just say that you can still get some really wonderful photos around the resort areas....The Boardwalk and Poly are some of the popular spots for photo sessions and because it's a resort you'll get a more relaxed setting allowing you to get the most of your photo session. :thumbsup2

Now if you're talking about Disneyland, well all bets are off. Ironically enough, there's no rules against in-park photo sessions there. :confused3Personally I don't know why, but I'm guessing it's because they get less people than Disney World.

Have you thought of taking your props in, and asking a photopass photographer to take the photos? Then you can be in them, and you can get all the pics from your vacation on the disc at the end? Probably cheaper than a photoshoot?

Book an ADR about 30-40 minutes before a park opens then you can have loads of photos taken in an empty park by a photopass photographer. Dont forget to pre-purchase your CD for a $50 discount.

We did a photo session in EPCOT before our welcome dinner. We flew our photographers down from CT so I'm sure thats why they were ok with doing this. Our wedding planner knew they were going to be shooting at Illuminations and she was ok with that as long as there wasn't a lot of equipment. We did tell her that they were friends of ours. We got some awesome photos. We did get yelled at one point for doing some photos with the EPCOT ball. Not a big deal because they were able to get some awesome photos before we had to go somewhere else. So yes it is possible, we were not trying to go against park rules as we talked to our planner about this ahead of time. We got plenty of photos at some of the countries and nobody said anything.

We did a Disney Photography Engagement session that was great in Epcot - look at my PJ that is in my signature and had PHOTOPASS around the world - over 200 for the week! Just us hahahaha ;) But due to the inconsistencies that are with quality.... lots of photos that should have been good were blurry or bad backgrounds - since they can't move, or restricted places since they are photo pass people.

I am just looking into more photos at the other parks.... not in wedding gear rather than the high cost of Disney Photography and if it is needed for me in a wedding dress when its clearly a different day....

We did a "bridal portrait" session in the park the day before our wedding in formal, but not bridal attire. It was just the two of us though. I'm not sure you could do that if you wanted your family in the pictures as well. We paid the same price as one would if you were in a wedding dress.

I am debating on the other park photo sessions to NOT be in wedding gear for him and I since HS and AK are LESS formal like parks as far as I am concerned. HS would be great in some star wars costume pieces like a bandolier and my hair in buns or something!

AK is more of shorts and and comfy feel so i dunno if i even want to do that park at all.... but at that point i have 3/4 parks and ill be annoyed NOT to have the last one
