Wow. I thought I could take a pretty good pic. I thought I had a nice camera. I just browsed through this board for the first time and well, now I know I'm a photography idiot.

Anyway, I am about to tackle the major project of trying to organize/ print/ and make albums for all the pics I have taken in about the last 10 years. I want to put the better shots (print worthy ones) in almums on book shelves so that we can actually look at them from time to time. What is the best prodcut for this? I know it has to be acid free , etc. I am NOT a scrap booker, so I don't need the scrap/type pages and I would think it would be time consumeing anyway trying to get them all lined up in those correctly.Someone suggested the plastic photo sleeve sheets that hold about 6 to a page...I have not been able to find these anywhere!

Are these sheets the best solution? If so , where can I get a lot of them at a reasonable price? I will need many, as I will be creating at least 10 albums.

TIA!

check Ritz CAmera they have albums and extra pages similar to those you mentioned, I recently used one of those and the expansion apcks to put together an album with 640 pics...

Even though you're not a scrapbooker, you may want to check out the scrapbook stores for what you're looking for. Archivers (sp?) is a great scrapbook store that has several different "slipin" style albums, pages, blank albums that you can add your own style to without ever doing an actual "scrapbook page". You may also want to look at Creative Memories - they offer a book called the Picfolio that you just slide your photos into, not sure if you can vary the photo sizes or if it's just 4x6 format. Hobby Lobby or Michaels should also carry photo pages as well. Just make sure that the pages are PVC free or you'll have yellow photos in several years! If you don't want this format, the hardcover photobooks are really nice as well. Many sites offer downloads for the software, then it's just a drag/drop procedure to put your photos on the pages. Leaning more towards this method myself these days!!:) Good luck!

Thanks for the info....I saw a hardcover scrapbook from a friends vacation recently...and it was great! It was something that her tour group had done and I thought it was a professional service...I hadn't realized this was a service I could do online! Thanks for the info....I think I will do something like that for the special photos.....like wedding...and all my kids births and birthdays or something....good coffee table books!
