I am someone who half the time forgets to bring the camera which either makes me forgetful or just not that focused on taking pictures. So I am curious about you folks that take wonderful photos to share with us. How many photos do you take when on vacation? How do you decide what to photograph? Do you take photos of the same points of interest over and over each successive trip? (What comes to mind, among others, are the famous Fort Wilderness entrance sign or Cindy's Castle @ MK so common to many TRs) I assume a lot depends on whether its photos of kids and family to remember how they looked year to year right? Were you always a photo buff even back in the pre-digital camera age? I wasn't and maybe thats why I am not as into as some of you are.

I take a lot of photos just because I love my camera! :goodvibes Weird but true. I also like to get a bunch of photos so I have a lot to choose from when I assemble the photos and videos into a single vacation movie that won't (hopefully) put anyone to sleep when I make 'em watch it. Thank goodness for digital -- things sure were different back in the film age.

DH takes all of our photographs and he has an eye for photography. He sees shapes and colors in everything. He recently got a new Nikon D5000 camera for Christmas and takes lots of pictures on each trip (we are coming up on our 2nd of the year). On a typical 5 day trip he can take about 600 – 700 pictures of FW and each of the parks. He takes daytime pictures, he takes nighttime pictures, he takes sunset pictures, animals, landscape….well you get the idea. If I was better at uploading them I would share more, because he is really pretty good. We have the same things in different lighting and angles. He is happy, so I am happy.

I take between 500 and 1000 pics on our trip. When we get home I put the card in our digital photo frame and watch the pic's untill next year.

DH and I love taking photos - more so with a digital. You can take tons and not worry about getting the perfect shot (wasting film). Our most recent visit logged 1225 photos! And you don't have to get all of them developed!
I guess we take photos of the same thing over the years because it is an example of our excitement/anticipation of finally getting to the Parks. The Mickey Welcome sign is the official beginning of our time there.
When I was younger I tried to get a picture with Goofy each visit to MK and it was fun to see how I changed over the years, plus Goofy's pose was different each time. Now I concentrate on the DDs. DD7 loves Chip and Dale and DD4 loves Stitch. DH loves Belle, but he can only corner her on the DCL!
