Hi everyone I am starting to compare photographers. My choices are Randy Chapman, Jeff HAwkins and Disney. I would love to hear both good and bad. I am also unsure about a videographer. Anyone have comments on this topic?

We have decided to go with Randy. We decided against Disney fairly quickly as we were having problems just when we talked to them! Also with Disney theres no guarantee as to who youre going to get. We found Randy to be very flexible and has given us a photo package that suits us rather than try to make us fit the package!

We chose Randy for our wedding and althought I haven't seen my pictures yet I know they are going to be good. Randy was such a sweetheart on our wedding day, we absolutely loved working with him. We didn't go with Disney even though they were included in our intimate package because A. They couldn't guarantee who we would get and these pictures were to important to me not to have an idea of my photographers style. And B. I didn't like the packages. Randy worked with us and we got just what we needed.

My opinion? If you can afford Randy DO IT! The only part of my wedding I am disappointed about is the photography. The lady was a DUD and the pictures horrible. I was just able to settle everything the best I could...took a month and a half.

On the website with the videos I keep hearing the guy who is video taping talking. Is that normal? I think it sounds so unprofessional. In the one he made a comment about the bride's mother and it sounded kind of rude. Shouldn't the videographer be silent?? Was the voice I was hearing someone else?

Having the videoographer talk is a personal choice. Stan of STVS is known for talking on his videos. You can request that he not talk, but you should note that he normally does. Personally, if you are looking for a videographer who will just observe with his camera and not give commentary, I would find anther videographer who more closely matches your expectations.
