Photographer Question - Escape Wedding

Hi all,

Are we allowed to have an outside photographer for an escape wedding? Does anyone know how much it would be, approximately? Just for the wedding/reception.

I know there are folks are here who can put this better than I can...but yes, you can have an outside photographer BUT you cannot get anything else out of the DPS that you're essentially paying for with the Escape.

It would really depend on what photographer when determining the cost.

If you have a specific photographer in mind and just want that style of pictures, another idea is to let Disney do the photography of the ceremony/reception and possibly hire someone for a "bridal shoot" after the cake reception at a location at one of the resorts. Just a thought...

Some photographers offer a DVD only option which really cuts the cost.

I used Misty for 6 hours and did a DVD only option and got amazing photos and I would book her again in a heartbeat so I would reccomend looking at her as well.

I just booked Misty's 4 hour "broke and in love" package for our Escape wedding. The total for the package is $1400 but she gives a 15% discount to disney brides so the actual total was $1190. The package includes:

Package 1) "Getaway Package"

- professional assistant during all getting ready, formal and bride and groom portraits

- second Photographer during entire ceremony and reception

You can get just this as a "CD only" package for $1000 so with the Disney discount it would be $850.

She's a little more pricey then Randy but there's just something I love about her style and her colors are always so bright and crisp! Two other things that convinced me to book her over Randy are: 1) All of her images are edited where as Randy's are not- if I end up with a pimple on the day of I will definately need that edited out 2)With Misty you get 2 photographers (her husband Nelio takes pics as well) which was important to us because we only have such a short time frame and this will allow us to get pictures separately before the wedding without wasting precious time!

You really can't go wrong with Misty or Randy, Roots gets great reviews as well but are by far the priciest. Good luck with making your decision! Hope that helps!
