Only if it was a ricochet shot. For dead on shooting, you really want that UV filter. You might even want to stack two of them.

I wonder what shutter speed he was using to freeze a bullet in flight ? Would a flash help?

How did the range allow this? I bet thier insurance would drop them in a minute if they found out this activity was allowed.

Has anyone seen the pictures he took?? The military has these types of guys in combat camera units all over....For me, the jury is still out....
