Photocopying back of ticket?

I've seen a bunch of people say that they photocopy the back of their tickets for proof that they had them.

Is there a code on them that Disney can use to look them up to see that they are indeed valid tickets and have such and such days left? (Mine are at home and I'm not looking at them right now.) I mean, what's the use of photocopying them if Disney can't replace them from that?

this is a really good question! I have always wondered the same thing.

Our tickets are going to be our room keys, so I don't know how that would work? Once this trip is over the room part won't work, but it will still have our remaining days on them.

The tickets have serial numbers on the back of them that makes it much easier for Disney to track down if they are lost/stolen. That's why if you purchase your tickets at the Disney Store, we give you a separate receipt that lists all of your ticket serial numbers - just in case!! If you don't buy them from the Disney Store, just make a quick photocopy for safekeeping.

If your tickets are on your room keys: they will give you entitlement numbers for your tickets. It's just the number right off of your ticket.

You just stop at the front desk and they can issue a replacement.

Definitely photcopy the back of your tickets. We have been going to disney for several years and wouldn't you know that I left one of our tickets on top of the fastpass machine   ! I realized my mistake about two minutes later but it was gone when we got back. The cm's hadn't seen it and I was devestated because it was the first day of a seven day trip. Luckily I had copied our tickets and they were able to issue new tickets without any problem at all. So ALWAYS copy your tickets because you never know when "someone" will lose a ticket.

The regular tickets (the ones not on resort IDs) all have a series of numbers on them. Those numbers allow Guest Relations to easily locate that ticket history in the computer. If you lost you ticket and do not have the ticket numbers, then it becomes a game of detective for them to try to narrow down where your ticket is located. They'll ask you where they were purchased and when, when were they last used, at what park, at what time, etc. in their effort to narrow it down. It's not impossible to do but it makes it a much lengthier process than having the ticket numbers. And the easiest way to have the ticket numbers is to photocopy the back of each ticket.

i just photo'ed are's today - last time we lost them, and did not have any record of my sons, had to by it again! Good thing we only had 2 days left lol
