Photocopy of Passport?

Thanks everyone! Lots of great information here. Safe to say a copy of our passport will NOT be in our suitcases.

+1 for keeping a scanned copy in Dropbox along with any other travel related documents.

I thought that you were not supposed to take your passports/documents ashore unless it was required by the port. I thought you just brought a photo ID and your KTTW and put everything else in a safe. Is that not correct?

It's a matter of personal choice.

I want it with me in case something happens. Others worry more about theft while in a port. What do YOU worry about more?

I have only been to places where I feel basically safe. I don't drink to excess (where I might forget to keep an eye on belongings) while in port. Except for the time
I did a safe excursion with 15 other people (DH had a migraine and stayed on the ship) I have big strong martial arts hubby with me and we don't go down alleys where someone with a weapon would go unnoticed. Etc.
