Photobomb or "Wrong Place, Wrong Time"?

Just for the record I kinda hope I get photo bombed a couple of times this next trip! lol

If there is a "perfect" picture that I really want I'll just have to try and make sure the coast is clear. If not oh well... one life to live so I really can't sweat the small stuff.

I on the other hand will usually not go out of my way to photo bomb someone (unless they are family and friends) but if I happen to end up in one of your photos whilst picking my nose I swear I thought no one was watching. :lmao:
I have looked through my photos hoping to find a photo bomb- nothing yet. :(;)

But I see Photopass differently for a couple of reasons - First of all, that CD ain't cheap! If I'm paying $100+ for photos I'm going to be less laid-back about the finished product than if I'm just walking around snapping pics on my own camera. And second, because the PP photogs are in fixed locations they seem to draw a lot of these jokers. I take between 1000-1500 photos on each trip and might see a half-dozen with someone who looks like they're deliberately involving themselves in the shot (even in the smile-and-wave sense). There were about a dozen in our last batch of 70-odd PhotoPass shots, including a couple that were more rude than funny.

Despite my decidedly pro-photobomb stance, I agree with this wholeheartedly. And I think it could be fixed by making "bomb proof" photo areas. My idea:

Take a small area, enough for maybe 4 people, around the circle in front of the castle. Make a platform to raise those people up so that the picture will be them and the castle, with pedestrians just below them.

Of course, this would have to be done carefully to not block others' views. I'd suggest between Casey's and the entrance to adventureland, or between the tommorrowland noodle station and tomorrowland entrance.

The platforms, if permanent and nicely done, might actually help sell more photopass CDs, as the only people allowed there would be photopass holders. The photographer could potentially sit back on top of (or in) the main street buildings.

If Disney didn't want to do a permanent platform, they could make a big hoopla of a small van that could roll into place, almost anywhere along the sides of the circle, that could provide the same platform about 7 feet in the air. It could be the "photopass trolley" or something like that, again, attracting sales and giving picky people that "park to myself" shot.

Just a thought.

Or you can schedule a breakfast before the park opens and get your castle shot! But I love the stage idea too!
