Photo Shop Elements 5.0 Help

I posted this on the photograhy board, but thought I would give it a shot here also.


Ok, I hope someone can help me on this.

I am needing to clone stamp a picture. In the past I have always hit alt+ctrl to provide a source. Then I thought I always hit the left mouse key to clone over the area I needed clone.

But for some reason, when I hit alt+ctrl and then the mouse key I keep getting "Could not use clone stamp tool because the area to clone had not been defined".

What am I doing wrong?

Be careful of your layers. You may be trying to clone in a layer where nothing exits.

Got it worked out. I was looking at the directions wrong. My mind was reading it one and it was saying something else!
