Photo shoot in the park?

Is there any way to set up a photo shoot in the park other than wedding photos?

Dh and I just may get a chance to go this year after all (long story) and it will be very near to our 5th anniversary. It's a pretty big deal to us, and marks us "beating the odds" so to speak. I was thinking it would be so wonderful to have a couples shoot in the park for anneriversary pics.

Is there any way to do that?

I'm not sure if there is a way to do a photo shoot in the parks or not, but there is always Photopass. If you find that you can't have a professional photographer come in with you, you can always have the Photopass people take some shots for you.

We also are celebrating our 5th this year (at Disneyland). And, I am married to a Matt. I take it from your username that you are too!

Well... what are you envisioning? You can certainly have someone else who has paid for admission take photos of you. I don't know how Disney would police who is a professional photographer and who is an amateur but I'm sure a pro could tell you what limitations there might be for them to do business in the park. The biggest issue I can see is the desire to have pics without other people in the background and that's unlikely to happen in most areas.

From what I have heard, if you wanna sneak in under the radar, they draw the line at the point where you have a tripod on your camera, reflectors or other equipment. Handheld still and video camera are no problem, and you could probably get away with a monopod, but any more than that I would check with City Hall on their restrictions.

If you are just posing with a "buddy" taking a few shots, you shouldn't have a problem!

If you wanna set it up for Disney to shoot...they gotta do that with all of the photographers they have. Put a call into Guest Relations.

She has an annual pass (she's a friend of a friend) so you wouldn't have to worry about that cost..
