Photo Sharing: Olympus, 4:3, Micro 4:3

So who is ready for the OM-D? My guess is it will most likely be out of my price range but it sounds like it could be an awesome camera.

I want one in silver! I've actually been watching cameras and lenses on ebay to see what they're going for and trying to figure out what I'll be putting up there. There are a couple of camera bags I can sell too.

It looks like it'll start shipping in April so I have a few weeks to figure it out.:goodvibes

The Olympus E-M5 is still too new to figure out. Is the image quality any different from Panasonic's G3 and GX1 (does the E-M5 use the same sensor)? The price, although not officially announced, seems high at a possible $1200. We should know more soon.

G3, 45-175, Program mode. I liked the repeating patterns of the Morocco architecture and artwork.

Still lots of speculation - they distributed them without batteries!

This just in from dpreview w/ brief video at the end. http://www.dpreview.com/previews/olympusem5/

I don't think it's the exact same sensor. Here are the side by sides. http://www.dpreview.com/products/co...onic_dmcg3&products=oly_em5&sortDir=ascending

Weathersealing is a nice feature.

Oh wow, I did not know this thread existed. I've only stumbled in the forum a few times. Normally feel like an outcast for using micro 4/3 even if I do use it on manual. Granted that is partially because I bought a first gen GF1, less than a month after it came out on shelves - I wanted a DSLR, but small for my first WDW trip with my now 2 year old. My old boss introduced me to m 4/3 and I fell in love!

Anyway, here are a few of my m 4/3 pictures from my Panasonic GF1. I normally keep my pancake on it unless I'm shooting video, though my first trip was the 14-45 (and all on automatic, ugh!).

This was a lucky shot.

I've recently purchased EP-L3 and took it with me to business trip in Germany.
I usually haul around huge canon cameras but now I am taking this camera to next Disney trip in a few days.

Great photos everyone! @andytaro - I'm helping DD9 with her project on Germany at the moment. I had to explain to her how you got the ferris wheel to turn out like that.:)

I've been meaning to post some of mine on here as well.

From our trip to WDW in December.

As many times as we've been to WDW, this was the first time I ever saw Divine.

Panasonic G3, 45-175@ 45

UPS left me an Olympus 45mm f/1.8 today, a nice little low light and portrait lens. This tiny lens makes a Canon 50 f/1.8 look huge! The price makes a Canon 50 look cheap. ;)

DXOmark has been testing some micro 4/3 lenses lately and the better ones have compared well to some highly regarded 35mm lenses.
