Ed, your macro shots are absolutely fabulous! This last one is spectacular. I bought out my Siggy 150 the other day, but can't touch those results. (I do like that lens, though--such lovely bokeh!) Here's my daffodil. I kinda liked the backlight.
THey were in the park, and trying to take Easter pics--totally backlit, standing waaaaaaaaay above her and a million miles a way. I was helping them a little with the composition and asked if I could practice and send them the pictures.
I sent them pics from the "shoot" and they were very pleased. Made me feel good.
Took this at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier this past weekend. I've gotten a whole 20 photos processed so far---only another 400 more to sort through!
Thanks! It was fun, but definitely in some ways completely opposite of what I expected it to be. I was surprised by what some of my favorite things from the weekend were (the US Navy Museum) and some of my least (the National Zoo even though I LOVE zoos). I'm going to try to power through these shots as quick as possible. DH has to go to MA for a funeral tomorrow evening so he'll be gone for two days and I'll have the computer all to myself
Nice Ann! Can't wait to see you're other pics! You have to share your computer? There would be some smack downs happening in this house if we had to share!

Thanks so much. I probably have more keepers from the 150 than any other lens in my bag, and most of them are not macro. It is a fine medium telephoto, provided you aren't trying to stop fast-breaking action. A superb lens.
Beautiful daffodil shot, too. Very nice "translucent" lighting and composition.
