I figured as much...but I was hoping you might be one of those crazy people who was trying to raise a Bengal Tiger domestically. :lmao:

The attendants at the Park mentioned that they purchased a number of their big cats from everyday individuals who were trying to raise these animals in their houses.

A woman in California died yesterday when she entered the cage of a big cat. They had raised it since it was a kitten and the site was authorized by the state to care for those animals.

That's an absolute shame...I feel for that woman's family.

But it goes to show you the danger of handling these Big Cats...the danger exists even if you are a professional or caring for the Cat in licensed setting.

The folks who choose to raise these Big Cats in their houses are really putting themselves in danger.

I heard about the girl yesterday here. Local news for us. It is so sad. That is why we only have a domestic Bengal cat and not one of the big cats. Ours is just a regular house cat that looks cool because of her markings. I love the big cats but would never own one. You never know what could happen. Even though this cat was raised from just months old, it is still a wild animal. Her dad said last night that she wanted to go into this cats cage the day she started but they said no only the other cats cages. This is when she started there a few months ago. Wonder why she was in the cage? Hopefully time will tell what happened...

I didn't even know there was a place like that in Dunlap. Our DD went to church camp ever summer in Dunlap. I've been there many times. I looked on a map and they are so close together. Just some open land between them. Don't know if I like that fact...too close to the kids or maybe sorta cool that we could have gone there when picking her up?

I am sad for the family...she was so young (our daughters age)...and gone too soon...

I took this about a half-second too late, but I still really enjoy the action. Unfortunately, it's a little hard to tell he's coming off a ramp. Either way, I like the photo.

This is the Marty Leonard Community Chapel in Fort Worth. I know Marty and she is every bit a wonderful person and has done much for our community. If you get a chance to stop by the Chapel is usually open to the public for a few hours daily. If you love beautiful architecture and quiet, contemplative places then you should stop by.
