That's a great suggestion for those of us who are always trying to improve our dark ride pictures!

For Dark Ride shots I'll shoot at f/1.4 or 1.8. Shutter speed needs to be quick enough to account for your movement and the movement in the scene you're shooting if there is any AND is also dependent on the focal length of the lens you are using.

This was shot with a 24mm 1.4 @ f/1.4, 1/80 second, ISO 6400.

If you are shooting RAW and with a camera made in the last 3 or 4 years (APS-C or Full Frame) you should be aware of "ISO invariance". That refers to being able to increase or reduce exposure when editing to get the same result as if were shot in camera at the corresponding ISO. In short, the advantage is you can shoot an underexposed shot and then boost the exposure in post without a loss of equivalent image quality with means you can increase your shutter speed (shutter speed is the primary factor in getting a clean/non-blurry photo) and even if the shot is underexposed because your ISO was too low you can adjust later.

Next time I'll shoot this at f/1.8 or 2.0 and 1/100 sec with ISO of 4000-6400.
