Some food served at the Taste of Melbourne, akin to Food and Wine festival with various restaurants rather than countries.
Held here....inside the Royal Exhibition Building...
...under this domed roof.
From the Libertine and Le Traiteur restaurant, this was a Terrine du porc. Pressed terrine of free range port and veal, toasted brioche and Dijon mustard.
Also from the same restaurant, the Toulouse cassoulet. Confit of duck, garlic sausage and white beans, oven baked.
From the Mahjong Black kitchen, Peking Duck wraps.
Mezzo and Mister Bianco put out the Pizza 'lunga'. Smoked mozzarella, cured oceantrout, rocket and candied walnuts.
And from the Stokehouse, the selection was the seared scallops, green chilli aioli, almonds and celeriac remoulade.
Sweet offerings....
The Stokehouse put together an Eton Mess. Rhubarb, meringue, Turkish delight and a violet and rose geranium flavoured sorbet.
Sartis offering of Pistachio panna cotta with caramel salted popcorn.
And some displays from around the various stands....
