Was sitting in the living room and talking to the wife when I looked outside and realized the sun was just about to dip below the house across the street. She was most kind and understanding when I told her I wanted to take some pictures of some flowers out front in the evening light. Here's the results. The two iris pictures are different crops of the same original - ditto the tulips.

I was pleased with the result but kind of wish I had gotten out there about ten minutes earlier and had just a tad more light...

I thought that's what that dab of color was, and you are right. A lovely touch!

I think it's a wonderful photo, I like the angle you shot it at.
Just remember that everyone here did not become and instant photographer and that it takes lots of practice, the more you shoot the better you'll see things in a different way. Look forward to seeing more of you shots.

Thank you I was joking with a friend of mine when I posted this photo on my photography Facebook, and she said she wished she had done maternity shots with her 3 boys...and I replied she needed to try again for a girl so she could

I love those flower shots too, ThurlFan. I miss the New England flowers in the spring, you just don't get the tulips and daffodils popping up out of the ground here.

Well, we had a girl after TWO boys...... so tell her it might not be out of the question. But don't tell her about my aunt and uncle who had NINE boys!

And who are we kidding..... if she has three little boys, then she's probably too tired!
