On our trip in 2004 we bought some of the pictures taken by cast members in the parks. A couple of the pictures had enhancments on them i.e us holding tink in our hands and borders on the pictures.

On our last trip we bought the photopass CD with almost 200 pics on it plus we took over 200 pics on our own camera (digital).

My question: As disney could not add the borders etc to pictures on the CD does anyone know of anywhere online I can find disney themed borders/enhancments that I can add to the pictures myself? maybe there is software you can buy to do this too? any suggestions?

I have looked around online and not found anything, maybe I am just looking in the wrong place?

Ash.

Have you considered editing out your existing pictures to use those borders and special effects? I doubt it would be too difficult. Also, just on a heads up, you might have a difficult time finding a print shop that would print these out due to copyrights. You would probably have to do in home printing.

I've "never" done this, but if you have copyright issues, you might try your local FedEx Kinko's. My DW used to work there and they have a self serve kiosk that you can put in your money and print off pictures yourself, and nobody knows where they came from. All you have to do is put them onto a cd and, voila!

Ugh. Violating copyright is *not* cool.

Disney's Toontown UK site used to have some Toontown themed photo frames, but they were toons, not the main Disney characters.

I almost forgot... DD has Disney print artist. I think it had some stuff like that in it (don't hold me to that though). It was inexpensive software.

Check out "The Creative Community" board right here on Dis. There are several threads on which people have posted Disney clip art and borders they've created.

BTW, the PhotoPass CD comes with a copyright release. Adding public domain clip art or borders and printing your pictures is not a copyright infringement. (You don't have to be sneaky when you go to Kinko's.) The release is right on the disk, in case someone challenges you.

This board is one of the friendliest boards on the Disboards (and on the Internet for that matter). Please do not make it ugly with short rude comments like this. If you feel that you must make this statement, then at least give us the courtesy of explaining yourself. We do not want our happy family over here to turn into something like the Resorts board. Just post the words "pool hop" over there then sit back and watch. It is like the WWE's Royal Rumble! :lmao:

You are correct that it is not cool, but if someone is making something strictly for personal use and it is not even available to buy, there is no harm done. There is no money lost from Disney b/c they do not even offer it. If you plan on selling it, then it is a big no no, but this is not the case with what the OP wants to do. This is absolutely no different than adding a signature to all of your vacation pictures that says "Year of a Million Dreams". That is a trademarked phrase, but I have heard of many people adding this to their images without anyone complaining.

All I was saying is that anything that even remotely looks like a professional created it, a print shop will refuse to print it. Simple case of CYOA. Walmart tried to refuse printing some portraits of my kids I did b/c they looked professional after I PPed them.

Let's all be happy here. :goodvibes

yes, the photopass CD comes with a copyright release. you should have no problem printing it anywhere. You could also print out a copy of the release so there will be no questions.

The photopass CD you can buy now, you can add all of that stuff to your pictures before ordering your CD and have it on your photo's.
