Photo pass?

We have been using it all week. We decided to buy a picture pack for 6 pictures for about 7 euros. We have been scanning the codes at the exit of the rides on my iPhone and then selecting our photo to download once we are back at the hotel with wifi. Once we were in a wifi area and had the ability to add credit to my account it has been really easy to use. I wish there were photopass people around the park though so you could get pictures with the castle in here background or other nice sights. We have already been sharing our pictures on Facebook so fronds at home can see.

Does the 49.99 euros mean you can download as many photo's as you want to your computer for that price or are downloads extra?

Photopass or photpass+??? Did you pay the initial €50 that includes ALL downloads to keep and pay extra to get them printed, or are you paying for the actual downloads separately as in photopass??

I would love to know the answer to this too. Last I heard it hadn't been rolled out fully.

We just arrived back for m DLP this morning and were very disappointed to find out that it doesn't seem to have been rolled out yet. We asked photographers and the staff in some shops, including the photography one at the bottom of main street on our first day and they didn't have a clue what we were talking about even with the app shown to them. So we just collected a card like the old system for each character we saw

We thought we would try it with a photo from tower of terror and the tot logo appeared on our photo pass plus app attractions but it said that photo was unavailable even when connected to WiFi back at the hotel. In the end we had to waste time on our last day and just get the selected photos printed instead which broke our hearts as we had 62 and could only really afford 10 (60 Euros). The man at the photo shop down main street this time said yes app does work but you need your data switched on.

The staff seem to be confused so what hope have the visitors got. Its not advertised at all around either park and they seem to confuse photo pass with photo pass plus

This is what I suspect - photopass and photopass+, are being confused...

We did not buy the initial 50 euro package, we used the photopass app to scan the QR codes on the rides. Then paid 7 euros (or thereabouts, I can't remember the exact price) which gave us 6 photo credits on our account. There were also options on the app to pay to download photos individually. Although the app is called Photopass when open it says it links to your Photopass+ account. We did not pay to have any photos printed off for us and did not use a photopass card at all during our stay.

I agree that CM's know little about this new service. We were initially having issues adding credit to our account (turned out to be because we needed a wifi connection) and the CM's didn't even seem to know what the new app was about. Luckily we managed to figure it out for ourselves. I also could not see anywhere around the park advertising that you can download the app and scan the QR codes in to get the pictures. I think it seems to be being rolled out quite slowly.

This was the problem we initially had, but once we had managed to load some credit onto the account we were able to see the pictures once were were in a wifi area. When we were in the parks it said the photos were saved off line, then when we got into a wifi area we were able to tap the image and our photo appeared. We then had the option to download it and use one of our credits.

So for 7 euros you were able to download 6 digital pictures to do whatever with?? And this included character meets?

We didn't do the character meets, only ride photos, but yes around 7 Euros for 6 digital downloads. We have already emailed the pics to people, uploaded them onto facebook and I have just added them to my digital photo frame. I believe you can use the character meets aswell that have the official photographers (they are marked on the park map with the photopass symbol). You can either scan the QR code from the picture or type in the picture number (the photo number has to start with a letter though to be able to be used on the app. The only ride not on the system is Buzz.)

Thank you for the information! Shame about Buzz! A few more questions if you don't mind:

How long to all the photos stay on the account? So for example, if I went for a week, scanned ALL the ride, meet and greets, etc photos, and then at the end of the week decided which 6 to keep - would that work? Or do the pictures not last long?

How did you add credits? I'm looking through the app now and I can't see anything obvious (but I may be being stupid!)

I'm not sure how DH added the credits. I had set up the photopass app with an account on his phone before we left, then he managed to play with it and add credits (he managed to do this only when on a good wifi connection as some sort of in app purchase & now can not remember how he did it! We did do it though after we had scanend some codes in, so maybe you had to have pictures to claim before you could add the credit). There were several options of amounts to pay to add credits, singe download credit or different bundles. I have tried to have a look again now, but as we have credits remaining I can not see a way to add more. You had to claim the photo by midnight of the day you scanned the code, but you could wait to choose to download the photo later. If we had not claimed photos by the evening of the day we scanned the code DH recieved a message to remind him to do so. I am not sure how long the photos stay on your account once you have claimed them though before you have to download them. We had a few on for 2 days after we had claimed them before we chose to download though.

Edit, I just figured it out!
To add credit you must open the photopass app in the app store, not open as an app on your phone. Then if you scroll down it says in app purchase, click on that. The options are attractions+ package for £7.49 or attraction photo for £2.49

Hmmm thanks! lol I have an email address linked to the app but I'm not sure how I did that, and still can't see how to add credits - I'll have a play!! lol Thanks!
