When I last visited Disney five years ago, you ot a card at check in that was scanned every time a cast member took your pic. Then, when u got home u could pick and choose what u wanted to buy on the website. Is this still how it works? I think when I was booking they said something about paying upfront and getting a disk with all photos? Is this the only option or can we still do it the old way?????:confused3

You can still do it your way, it just usually works out cheaper to prepay for the CD as you get all the photos and can print them locally/at home for a lot less.
It just depends on how many prints you usually buy as to whether the photo pass or + would be cheaper for you

Everything is still the same, but I would prepay, just to save some money.

I think the photo pass cd costs $169 but you get all images on a cd to print. If you buy a certain time before you go, it is only $120.

The photo pass+ includes some ride photos, character meal photos and that is $200, or if you buy 14 days before your vacation, it is only $150.

These prices are for Disney World, not Disney land.

I got this info from the photo pass website.

Thanks so much for the info! I didn't realize there was a site with photopass info. 62 Days To Go! We are so excited!

On our last trip I found a photopass deal that gave you the CD plus a 20 page photo book for $120.00. I haven't seen that latley. Has anyone else?

If you are wanting a pic of yourself on a ride, how or where do you scan your photo pass+ card so they get onto your disk?
AND...I just looked at the website. I have purchased photopass+ through our TA but I saw Photopass+ for one price ($149) & Photopass CD for another ($119) . Don't you get the CD with your Photopass+ purchase?
Thanks DISers! Our upcoming trip would be a disaster without all of your input! :worship:

Yes, you get CD with PP+. PP+ is same as preorder regular PP CD, except you get ride photos and select restaurant photos free. You add ride photos by going to CM at ride location And give them the number on the tv screen. Just like you would, if you were buying photo.

Thanks! And then of course I wake up to something new! LOL!
I guess I'll ask my TA what the difference in cost will be. If it's $45 additionally for 7 ride photos *(1 ride we won't go on) , I'll probably pass on the addition.

Purchase an Attractions+ card and get digital downloads of the photos taken while you are on select attractions. At the end of participating attractions, present your Attractions+ card to the Photo Sales Center attendant and they will add your ride photo to the card. The card is good for 14 days worth of photos and the photos must be claimed within 30 days.

Participating locations:

Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Rock 'n Roller Coaster
Expedition Everest
Dinosaur
Test Track

Prices:

Digital Packages
Single digital download - $14.95
Attractions+ - $44.95
