I went to my first trip to the world last year and shared a photo pass with some other DISers. Now, I'm planning my next trip (again in April) and I can't seem to find ANY photopass share threads. Has something changed in the past year that would make a share impossible or something?

PP shares are no longer permitted on the DIS. I understand there is a PP share page on Facebook where people connect to set up shares.

ah ha! I knew there had to be a good reason.. (any idea of specifically where on facebook? or should I just try and search for it?)

Thanks for the info ... I've been wondering where the shares were also.

So how does this work? My friend is going to WDW two weeks later.... do I just give her my card and she puts her photos on the same card? I've never heard of this.

My sis is going Sat - Fri, and we will be there Wed - Tues (overlapping the Wed - Fri). We are planning to share a photopass - will this work?

never mind - misread

As for sharing with friends / family, you share a PP account - not the actual cards themselves. Then you just add all the card #s into the same account.

It's true what the previous poster said. You share the account not the cards. So that means you can just pick up a new card when you get to Disneyworld & not have to catch up with your sister before she leaves to pass off the card. You can get another card at the same time if you are at different spots to take photos i.e. your daughter wants princess photos, her son wants Cars photos at the same time.

The most important thing to remember is not to have you both enter your photopass number on your accounts. Have only one person enter all numbers to an account to avoid confusion. If you enter the passcard numbers into different accounts it cannot be undone & you will have to pay for two CD's. So don't enter your numbers even to just "see" your photo's thinking that you can just enter the number in the new account also. Each Photopass number can only be entered once.

When I organized a share a couple of years ago, I only did it with people who were vacationing within 10 days of me. I'm sure if you find someone on Facebook who is organizing, t hey will explain it all to you.

We are going to Disney March 7-12 and friends will be there March 17-24. I have prepurchased the Photo Pass CD. As long as my friend does not look at their photos under a seperate account, can I add their photos to my CD? Does the 30 day window start on March 7th when we will probably take our first photo pass picture?

Yes it will but you have 30 days to claim and then 30days to edit.

Most shares have people going within a 4week span and people start entering and editing at a set point that will make sure the last group has enough time to enter and edit their photos too.

I believe Disney uses the picture with the earliest date now also, but don't quote me, I have been Photopass remiss in my last 3 trips!

I believe the 30 day window begins when the first pics are entered in Photopass.

You can have up to 60 days. First count down starts when the first photo is taken. Then you have 30 days to claim it (add it to an account).

Will we both still be able to view the photopass cards in the parks while we are there or does that start the 30 day claim window? I am concerned with Disney Visa photos while we are in Epcot.

You should be fine if they put them on the screen for you there. It's once you log into your account and add the #'s to the account that the next 30 days start.

That's why I get new photopass cards each time I visit WDW. The old cards are linked to my account and they would go right onto it. Some have reported that the count down doesn't start until you view them but since I go for two weeks, I'm not chancing that Photopass continues to do so.
