Photo Pass Share Help - My pictures are missing.

If you don't get your photos back, definitely ask for your money back.

I'm going to. I'd rather have the pictures than the money, but yeah, I'm going to.

I really don't know what happened. I PM'd the lady who has uploaded her pictures, but she hasn't responded. So I don't know what could have happened.. :guilty:

Well, I am hoping they are recovered on Tina's account. There isn't any reason to think this PP share won't be fine in the end since we really have no idea what actually happened to the pics. And I feel bad for poor Tina being out the money if you ask for a refund. None of this is her fault, after all.

Fingers crossed you get good news tomorrow.

I do feel bad for Tina now that I think about it, it's not her fault and she's been nothing but a sweetheart about this...

So, Tina called me again and that lady has been so sweet and helpful about this! She is genuinely concerned for me and my pictures!

So I gave her my PP ID number and she said she's going to go to the PP store thing they have at WDW and ask them what happened to my pics and if they can recover them. We both came up with (so did DevilDuckie :thumbsup2 ) that she's going to say I'm her daughter or niece or some relative that was visiting DLR and my pictures are gone.. She told me she would call me tomorrow..

I'll let you guys know what happens..

Thank you everyone! :lovestruc

Nice of her to help on vacation but that gives me an ick feeling for her to stand there and say her friend/relative/whatever lost her pics in DL - the pics won't be there on Disney World property (I am thinking).

I just use the Photopass system as intended with my own family or as a group I am traveling with at the time. It really makes it soooo much easier and worth it -- even if its a few more dollars.

Good luck.

Liz

Have to say I agree there. I've never participated in these group shares for worry something like that could happen. Those pictures are super important to me, so I never want to take chances with them! I'd just rather pay what it costs to have my own.

Agree also. I would have a really hard time keeping all of the "stories" straight.

As far as I know, the photopass people and pictures aren't "kept" on disney property anyway. My DLR photopass CD was sent from Buena Vista (is that right?) where WDW is, so they are either not on any property or they are all at WDW anyway.

On our last trip to WDW in 07 we got to see our pictures and buy the CD before we left. I am not sure if there is that option at DL. I have not purchased any PP stuff from any DL trips.

Well good news guys, I talked to Tina this morning and she spoke with a WDW Photopass CM and apparently my PP ID number was on the account and the pictures weren't, but by some weird chance he recovered them and made my own account.

Yay! :goodvibes

I have to pay my own $79.99 now, but it's worth it. I'm so happy to have my pictures back..

We still don't know what happened, if they got deleted, a PP glitch..

I'm going to claim them on PP soon, we're going again June 20th, so I want to be able to add those pics on this account since I will be paying $79.99..

Thank you everybody for the helpful tips and support. You guys are the greatest..

I am so sorry this happened to you. I was on a photopass share and the only "bad" thing that happened is that some of my pictures didn't apparently make it onto the photopass--most of them were there but one group (by the bridge in DCA) were MIA. Hope it all works out . . . .

This woudn't have been last Sept would it? I did the CD thing last Sept. at both DLR and WDW and I ended up with a strange family on my PP card. (not strange looking just not mine! )This would have been caused by the PP photog not scanning your card. Anyway, I have 5 pix of a family of 5 (only one pix has 5 members, the other 4 have 4 members) Dad and 2 smaller kids are wearing white t shirts. Mom is wearing blue shirt, whit shorts, brunette. Older daughter (?) only in 1 pix is wearing pink top. These pix were taken on the bridge with the Sun Wheel behind it. Looks like the family was having a good time (even though it was pretty windy that day!)

If sounds like you, let me know. I have them on my CDs. (Can't say why I didn't delete them-I guess it just didn't seem right to delete them)

Nope--not last Sept. and that family isn't us--but thanks for trying! That is where the missing pictures were taken though. Sounds like the PP photogs in that area have some "issues"~

Just make sure you purchase PP before it expires. I believe that it is 30 days from activation.

Yep! You have 30 days from when the pictures were taken to claim them, right? Or we took ours May 17th, so I have til June 16th. And then from the day they're claimed you have 30 days to buy a CD.. Right?

We had this happen to us too at WDW and my DD keeps asking if we will see "Nana Judy" again on our upcoming trip....:confused3 I didn't understand who she was talking about, and she said, "you know, the lady in the Disney World pictures..." She actually NAMED the lady :rotfl2: and wants to know if we will see her!! I guess when we're at Disney, we're ALL family!! :)

Too bad you can't get the discount of a share but I'm glad you were able to retrieve them. You're going again in June? I am too, but June 2nd

have fun!

Yeah, we're planning the weekend of June 20th and possibly that weekend after. My parents want to go now, I think they're jealous and want to feel the Disney magic. ;)

Right. Since you've already claimed some then you have 30 days from the claim date to buy the CD. So your 30 days to buy start from the day you claimed your missing (and found :goodvibes ) pictures. That's how I was able to get both my WDW and DLR pictures on the same CDs. mid Aug thru late Sept. from DLR and Sept. from WDW.

So glad you were able to get your pictures.

toocherie-sorry it wasn't your group. :confused3
