Photo Pass Share Help - My pictures are missing.

I'm a picture nut and I know how sad it is to lose photos of a special trip!
I hope you get it figured out and find them!

I am also in this PP share and this has me concerned for you and others in the share. I would be frantic too. :grouphug: Surely they must be recoverable but I do think Tina should be the contact person since her info is on the PP account. Did you find her cell number yet?

I am hoping it gets easily worked out. Keep us posted.

I have Tina's cell phone, but I think she's at WDW, and I don't want to interrupt her trip.. :guilty:

A lot of people on the share with me have suggested I call Tina (the lead of our share) but she's at WDW right now and I would hate to disturb her, but the people that are supposed to load their pics don't want to until we figure out what happened to mine..

I think you should call her. Chances are... she will be busy, not recognize your number (unless you are friends?) and let it go to her voice mail. Then she can decide to call you back or not after you leave a message;) SO... really, you won't be "disturbing" her... it will be her decision to be "disturbed" or not!

Or, put yourself in her shoes... would you be bothered to get a call about it? I wouldn't be... and if I was, I would just wait until my trip was over to call back :lmao: !!

Just call, it can't hurt:)

I have been thinking about your situation. I am really hoping you find them or have a way of recovering them.

I would love to participate in a PP share, but this isn't the first time I have heard something go wrong. I read on the Budget Board a while back about a person not sending out people's CDs of pics after people had paid her. She just disappeared. The share is an awesome idea, but I just get worried about the outcome for me personally.

As for contacting photopass, I had a situation in December where I told them that some friends and I had gone in on photopass in September, and I had mistakenly used the same card, not realizing that the card is forever stuck on the other account. They didn't say anything negative about it and simply helped me. Now, I believe that that share was only DLR, but it was supposed to include WDW as well (but plans changed for one share member).

FYI, emailing them takes just about the same amount of time (a few days) as calling them, b/c they tend to play phone tag, and more info can be given and received in an email string rather than a phone message string.
 
Man, this is my first time being in a share too. It sucks now! But atleast even though it shouldn't happen to anyone, it happened to me, someone who goes often and is lucky enough to have an AP instead of a family that NEVER goes and these were their only pictures of their once in a lifetime trip.. :sad2:

Since I'm in California and she's in Florida right now, so I'm 3 hours behind (right? 3?) I'll call her in a bit when I get out of work...

Good luck. I hope that Tina or the PP people can help you recover your photos. Maybe they can just remove that PP number from the account and you can re-add it to get your pics back. I just joined a pp share for next month and I am really hoping (fingers crossed) that this doesn't happen to us because we are one of those families that doesn't get to go a lot and we will have friends with us who have never been and I would hate to lose our photos of them. I think I may do what we did last time again and ask that the PP person take a pic with our camera too that way we at least have a chance at having a good photo in case anything happens to the pp ones, kind of a backup if you will. I know that the ones we have encountered in the past have been more than happy to do this.
 
I am so sorry this happened to you. I was on a photopass share and the only "bad" thing that happened is that some of my pictures didn't apparently make it onto the photopass--most of them were there but one group (by the bridge in DCA) were MIA. Hope it all works out . . . .
 
I'm glad you decided to call Tina. Did you hear from the person who also added pics? Did s/he have any insight? Good luck!
 
Yeah, I'm going to call Tina when I get out of work (4:00) so it will be 7:00pm WDW time. If anything I get her voicemail..

I haven't heard from the person who post their pics yet though...
 
So I spoke with Tina right now. She said she has no idea what could have happened and if I want to call the PP people and see what they say.. But I don't know what to tell them due to the fact that I don't know if sharing a PP disobeys Disney rules, and especially because the other person who uploaded their pics is at WDW, that would be hard to explain..

For those on the share with me, she said if you guys want, go ahead and upload your pics and if you have any concerns call her..

What should I do to call PP? What should I tell them?
 
So, Tina called me again and that lady has been so sweet and helpful about this! She is genuinely concerned for me and my pictures!

So I gave her my PP ID number and she said she's going to go to the PP store thing they have at WDW and ask them what happened to my pics and if they can recover them. We both came up with (so did DevilDuckie :thumbsup2 ) that she's going to say I'm her daughter or niece or some relative that was visiting DLR and my pictures are gone.. She told me she would call me tomorrow..

I'll let you guys know what happens..

I'm also on this PP share with you (later next week) and I suggest you call PP. They are remarkably good about finding photos with the information you supply (they found some of mine last year). If they give you a hard time about sharing the pass you can tell them that our organizer did email them for clarification about sharing and was told "By the way I received an email from Photopass and they said it would be fine going to two parks as long as we all use the same account numbers." This is directly from one of her posts in our PP share thread. All they can say is that we aren't supposed to share and not allow you to upload the photos they are trying to find for you to our community account. However, I would doubt that they would say anything to you.

I joined a Photo Pass share with people on the budget board and they were mostly people visiting WDW, so yesterday I uploaded my PP pictures with the ID on my PP card on our shared account..

Now today when I go to edit my pictures, all MY pictures are gone. I can't find them anywhere. Am I missing something??

Here do this. Email disney photopass and tell them you want the #'s transfered to your OWN account. You won't get the shared discount but you should have the photos. I had to do this. I opened my #'s on my own accunt then went in on a share. It would not take. So I emaild them and they transfered the #'s to the share account and it worked fine. It was all done via email and I'm sure the photos are still around. Set up an account first and tell them you would like the #'s to come up on your account info.
