We usually get a family photo at MK and MGM, sometimes more than that. We have some cute character photos. I have read about spending the $100 and getting the CD of all our photos to take home? I would like more detail on this because last time we went the computer purchase option was not available yet. I have read that you can't add borders and stuff now but that's not such a big deal for us. I just like having nice photos with all of us in them (usually it's DH and the kids since I'm taking the photo).
All opinions and info about photopass are welcome and eagerly anticipated.

We just used photo pass in May. Normally, we take our own pictures. But it was nice to get a couple of group photos. We used the same card all week and when our kids got their picture taken with a character we gave the card to the photographer and took our own pictures as well. On our last day we went to the MK and viewed our pictures taken at the MK. The pictures we had taken at the other parks did not show up there. We did not care since this was where the most pictures were taken. At the parks they are able to add borders and have character signatures add. When we got home I went online add look at the pictures again. I found that a photographer captured a picture of our DS hugging Mickey that no one else was able to get. I ordered the picture online and received it in 10 days. Very easy to do. However, with online orders you can only add a few borders. Have a great time on your trip.

I sent some pics back to be reprinted over a month ago. I have not received anything back yet. Does anyone know a number you can call to find out whats going on?

We used it a lot in Oct for our 3 day trip so I was going down with the notion of getting the CD and having a bunch of nice Photos.

Well if you include our Meet & Greet pics I ended up with a big 21 total last week.

They either were not to be found or so many people waiting it wasn't worth it.

I mean most crowded time of the year you would think they would have more then 2 at the gates at opening or at the end of the night.

We went through Character Connection in Epcot on regular times and EMH and both times they had no one in there.

I not really complaining as we have video and Pics of almost evrything at the world so it just saved me a hundred bucks.

Unfortunately, this is what we found two weeks ago too. At every park, I was surprised by the lack of photographers to take pictures. There were always a few at the entrances and sometimes at the character meet and greets, but probably only a quarter of the time. I was sure with some of the beautiful scenery in the World Showcase at Epcot and the trails at AK that we would see some, but nope! Not a one! It was obvious that some photographers were much better at their job than others, too. Luckily, we took our own pictures of most of the same events.

The good thing is that it's free to get the actual pass. You can always get it, use it as much as possible, and check the pictures later. You can even check them online and make a decision if you want to purchase a few or the whole disc or nothing. I think we decided the disc was still a pretty good deal when we added up the amount we would spend on the pics we wanted printed. Having the borders was not a big deal to us.

Can you purchase the cd online now after you get home?

Rock'n Robin there is a huge post on this subject somewhere. I can never get search to work but I think it is on this forum.

I went of a 4 day trip in May with my fiance and soon to be mother in law. We bought the CD on the last day of our trip. Everytime I saw a photopass photographer, I gave them the pass I was holding onto, and made sure they took a couple of pictures. I even made sure that everyone got a shot alone if they wanted (It was soon to be MIL's first trip to WDW so I wanted to make sure she had one alone of her in front of the castle, and not just as a group with us) At then end of 4 days, we had about 40 pictures, so we split the price of the CD, and now we all have copies!

Hoping someone can clarify something-
Does the cd have the photos from ALL of the parks on it? Or do you have to buy one for each park. I know if you are buying photos, you can only view/purchase them in the park they were taken. Thanks for any help!

the photopass has pictures from all the parks on it.Mum and i notched up 102 photos on it during our trip.Pictures at all the parks and with characters. In my opinion it is well worth the price if you can get plenty of photos taken. We saw photographers everywhere last week, especially at magic kingdom.
We had the cd developed at toontown and it only took 5 minutes-brilliant!

CD has the photos from all of the parks. (I wish it would include the cruise line, too!) Last July, we loved Photopass. There were photogaphers everywhere, and we were delighted with the pictures. Our experience in the last week, though, echoes a lot of what I've heard on these boards: fewer photographers, with poorer quality pictures. We had 24 pictures on our recent trip, and in many of them we aren't even looking at the camera, or aren't centered in the frame. For example, the family photo we had taken in front of Spaceship Earth turned out with all five of us squinting directly into the sun, off center, and with only a tiny bit of Spaceship Earth visible over our heads. We were less pleased this year, and were glad we took so many pictures of our own. The pictures seem very amateurish in comparison to our past experiences.

WWOOWW!!
I just love the idea!
Can I buy this DVD before we left WDW?
Where can I order the DVD in WDW?
Can they add our own pictures to the DVD?

Thanks in advance!

We had a similar experience the last week of May/June. Our trip was from 5/27-6/4 and we had a total of 15 pics taken with photopass. We didn't even have our pic taken at each park. Now I wasn't going to chase down photopass photographers, but there were none to be found. My plan for this trip was to have tons of pics and buy the $99 CD, but for 15 pics...definately not worth it.

It sounds like things have gone downhill in just a couple months. We went May 5 - 13 and had 176 pictures taken with the Photopass! Needless to say, we bought the CD and it saved us a lot of money! When we were there, there were plenty of photographers and they would also add the borders.

When did they stop doing that? Our friends went week before last and they weren't adding borders anymore. Now, I can see why they would stop doing that when I saw how long it took to add borders to pictures -- the lady must have spent an hour just on ours. And, she added borders to EVERY picture -- even ones that were not good pictures. When I was standing there waiting, I would say -- "Oh, we don't need a border on that one" and she'd do it anyway. She was very nice -- but she spent way too much time doing it, IMO. :)

We just bought the CD -- we didn't order anything online.
