Hi all...hoping for some clarification...

We purchased the photo pass/memory maker for our trip (that is in 2 days!!!)

I received an email about it this week and was all set to follow the steps, but thought I would verify with the experts here on what's happening. (We've had all sorts of issues with MDE and our online stuff...we have 3 families of 4 linked to a reservation and it seems like they are all different stages or things are working...some received their bands right away, others didn't...some got notification of their online check-in some still haven't...they did the email purge thing and then my reservation got linked incorrectly).

So all that to say...I've copied the email below: So even though I "paid" for it with my initial reservation, I have to go in and "repurchase" it?? I have gone to the MyResevations page and it shows that I purchased Memory Maker and it's linked to our reservation. But what product do I add as listed on step 4?? Do I hit the "link Memory Maker"? But then it asks me to enter in a ticket number...what is that?

I feel a bit dumb about all of this! :/

*ugh...edited to add that I was being a bit of a moron about this. :) I just realized that I wasn't clicking on the "products" tab. (slapforehead) So I need to go in and pick the "Memory Maker Advanced Purchase" button. Right?

They're giving you a $20 credit to buy a photo product - once you have photos in your account to do that. There are photo books and mugs and prints and all that kind of stuff. It's definitely NOT telling you to re-purchase your Memory Maker!

you got an email saying that because they changed their price they are crediting your account $20 to be used for products (mugs, water bottles ornaments...) you dont need to do anything now you wait until you have the pictures -

Ahhhh....ok! Thank you so much!

As you can tell, my mind isn't really thinking clearly right now. (I really do consider myself a relatively educated person. lol) But when you're getting ready to leave for WDW in two days after planning the vacation for a year and you realize that your entire packing list has to change because the weather is going to be near 90 and the kid's schools have decided to have every party/Christmas celebration known to man the last week of school...well...you're just ready to put on your Mickey ears and get there!

Thanks again!

Yes to all the above. They are issuing a credit to people who purchased Memory Maker before the price reduction to bring their cost in line with the new prices if they haven't started to use it yet. Their way of being proactive to avoid many requests for refunds or credits from people who paid the higher price.

Make sure that everyone in your party is linked to your MDE (where you purchased Memory Maker) as Friends and Family. This is important so that everyone's photos will be linked to your Memory Maker so you can get all the photos. As long as everyone is on your Friends and Family list they can all use the photo pass photographers anywhere in WDW and the photos will end up in your Photo Pass account so you can download them after your trip. Since you said you were having some issues with MDE, I thought you should make sure everyone is linked to you so you do get all your photos for your trip.
