First timers staying at WL 7/18-7/25 Myself, DH, DS8, and DS7. I have heard alot about photo pass, but no specifics about how it actually works. Can you view photos before purchase?, is there a card you need to hold on to?, Are there picture packages?, is buying the CD really the best option?:confused3

You will see photopass photogs all over the parks. If I recall correctly, they have on tan, safari like vests and have big cameras :). Ask them to take your pix and the first time u do it, they will give you a card. Just like your room key card. That is your photopass card for your whole trip and it good at ALL parks. Just hand it to any photog you want to take your pix. You can view them at random places around the park. I also know WL had a viewing station in the lobby and I'm sure other resorts do too. BUT, you don't have to purchase them at WDW. YOu can wait until you get home, log on to the photopass website (which I think is www.disneyphotopass.com) andn then you can add borders, etc and either order all of them, some of them, make gifts and scrapbooks. I think you can go to that website now and just browse around. You can also upload your own photos to the site to be able to put in the scrapbook.

it's a pretty cool deal and I have taken advantage of it everytime.

hope that helps a little :)

OH. Buying the CD for us on our first trip was our best option because we had TONS of pictures and my parents split the cost with us and we shared it. Oh, if you buy the CD you get the rights so you do all of your picture printing at walgreens, walmart or where-ever.

Our second trip, short 3 day trip with just me and DD, not so many pix, so we didn't purchase the whole CD. I just bought a few photos directly from the photopass site.

There's a ton of info here: www.stitchkingdom.com

Last year was our first family WDW vacation, and photopass was a great deal. We're planning on it again this year. Both times we've saved money by pre-buying the CD for $99.
