Is it best to buy now or wait until we get to DL to purchase photo pass?

You don't purchase PhotoPass, it's just given to you by the Disney Photographers. PhotoPass is a way for Disney to store all photos taken by Disney photographers. The photographer will give you a card that contains a barcode. You can then order prints on-line or at the Disney Photo shops. If you use the same card for your whole trip then all of the pictures will be under that card number.

You can also use multiple cards, my wife had one as did my daughter(13) and I had one too. At the end of our trip we went and combined the cards onto one disc. The disc is what you will be purchasing at the park or you can wait till you get home, but like others have said if you preview the disc at the park you can see what you might have missed for pictures or what hasn't been transferred to the disc.

If you preperchase the dvd from Photopass.com, it will cost you 99.00 with free shipping at time of order. If you wait until after your stay it will cost 124.99. Purchasing it from the website allows you to view your pics online and add signatures and borders and crop your pics. This is an unlimited amount of pics. When you edit your pic, you will get both the original pic and the edited pic. If you purchase the CD in the park it is 59.99, but you do not get to edit or put borders/signatures on it. They will not do this for you in the park. So it is up to you what you would like to do.
