I saw in someone's trip report that they purchased a Photopass CD.

I wondered if anyone has the details? Is it a set price no matter how many pictures are on it? I assume it's just the CD, not hard prints.

Can you take that CD to one of the photo places and print them out, or is there a copyright on it?

Thanks!

I believe that, at the moment, the price is $69 for the CD. You have all the photopass photos taken that you want, by the special photographers. Then, you can upload your personal digital photos that you have taken, and add them to the CD...it comes out as a photo trip diary so to speak. I'm not sure if it can be copied though. I'm not sure what the total number of photos is though.

The Photo Pass CD is $99, regardless of how many pictures are on it (I'm sure there is a limit to how much the CD can hold, but they don't charge you by the picture). We made sure to grab every Photo Pass opportunity we could find, and wound up with 118 pictures, which made the CD less than $1.00 a picture. A pretty good deal, considering I spent over $60 last year on just six 5X7's, and that was with a 20% off code! You have to purchase the CD at either the Epcot photo center, or the Grand Floridian gift shop. You can browse through your pictures on a monitor, and add the special WDW borders to your pictures before you have the CD made. The pictures they take where you are "holding" Tink or Simba, etc., are already fixed to look that way, so they will burn onto the CD without you having to put the characters in yourself (unlike the borders). When you purchase the CD, you are given the license, which will allow you to take the CD to a photo place to have them printed out.
It is a really good deal, especially since it allows you to "own" the pictures, so take as many Photo Pass pictures as you can!!

They told us last week that you can also have the CD burned at Toon Town just after the Judges tent.

Thanks! It sounds like it's a pretty good deal. I'm one who has never taken advantage of the park photographers, since I think the price per picture is too much.

But with only one adult, I think I'll take advantage this time so that I can get some pictures with me and the kids. And if I don't think it's worth the price, I don't have to buy the CD at the end.

Thanks for all the info, and if anyone knows of other locations to buy it, I'd appreciate it!

My DH and I are planning to split up. We will each take a dd or ds to do what they want. Will we be given 2 photo pass cards and can we put them on one disk? Thank you.

can someone confirm that the Judge's tent location is open? We really need an alternative to the other locations and we'll be at MK on our last day. Thanks!

We ended up with 4 cards and they combined them all with no problem.

Last month I saw some sort of CD they were offering for $49, but I'm not sure if they're doing the $99 ones. However, if you're at MK it's just a quick monorail ride to get over to the GF to have it done.

You're probably thinking of the PhotoMovie DVD

Yes, the Toon Town location is open - that's where we got ours.
