Hello!

As I started narrowing down our options for photos, I still had a few questions for all that have done the photo packages: (TYIA for your help)

1. If I order the digital only package pre-cruise it's $194.95 for our 3 nights on the Dream ...if we choose to wait and not pre-order so we can see what our pictures look like and/or the amount we actually get, will the price be different? (The website says something like "Purchase now for 15% savings")

2. I have heard that I can actually order my digital photo package AFTER the cruise?? (I heard up to 3 - 6 weeks after sailing)

3. What is the advantage to pre-ordering?

THANK YOU for ALL of your help and insight!!
Cheers!

For the full CD (digital photos) there is a pre-cruse purchase discount (as you noted about 15%). If you wait to purchase the full CD package, it will cost more. You can pre-purchase the CD, and if you decide you don't want it, you can cancel it, as long as you do it by the last full day of your cruise.

The only thing I've read about after the cruise, is if some of your photos didn't make it onto the CD, or you changed your mind and wanted to buy a few of your photos, you can purchase them. Individually, AFAIK. And the price is higher - someone recently reported that to get one of their missing photos was $25.

As noted, the only advantage is the 15% lower rate - and that's only on the full CD package, not any of the other packages.

THANK YOU Disney Fantasy and PrincessShmoo!! Won't wait until after the cruise for sure! Truly appreciate all of your advice on my recent posts!!

Thanks for asking this question- I was wondering the same exact thing!! Could you link where to purchase in advance??

Is it the same price on a 3 day cruise vs a 7 night cruise?

Also what kind of photo opportunities do they have outside of characters?

ALSO is it like a photopass card to keep track of your stuff?

Are the photos mainly if you stop to pose before or after dinner, etc and pictures with the characters?

No, prices vary, depending on length of cruise.

Photographers are available at set locations (mostly in the atrium) pre/post dinner. And there are roving photographers in the dining rooms, as well as on Castaway Cay.

No, it's not like PhotoPass. They are a "regular" photography studio with a contract with DCL.

See above answer.

Thank you!!

Princess last question how do I reserve the photo package :)
Go to the link I posted above. You have to select your ship and cruise date and it will show you what options (photo-wise) are available for your cruise. You can buy the packages there.

YES!!! THANK YOU again PricessShmoo for replying!!! You are a WONDERFUL resource!!! TERRIFIC knowledge!!!

Silly question, but after I purchase the cd, can I print them anywhere or do I have o go somewhere Disney says? Also, we are split between 2 room (4 adults) so I am wondering how the best way is to go about getting all our pictures on 1 cd.

When you get home, and put the CD in your computer, you will be prompted to go to a website, I believe, to actually get your photos. You can have them printed, or print them yourself.

And is there a fee for the printing?
If you print them (at home) it's whatever cost it is to you to get the ink/printer/paper. If you use a photo printing company (Shutterfly, WalMart, something else) it will cost whatever it costs to get pictures printed.

Princess do you have a link or somewhere I can see the types of photos that people take?

Hi..we have 5 families and stay in five different rooms. Do they all get 50% on board discount on CDs if first family pre purchase the all cd package?
