Photo of the Day/ Week Thread Themes?

When I suggested a photo of the day thread, I kind of expected an anything goes (within reason) type thread. However, I like the idea of having a theme. I think if we do it this way then each theme should run for a week so that people have time to contribute and we do not run out of themes. So what kind of themes would you like to see? I will keep a list and will start a new thread once a week.

I think keeping it fairly open might be good as it would give the posters some freedom within limits and would also help you to not run out of ideas e.g.

colours (one week could be green and a few weeks later blue, red then yellow)

you could do the same with shapes or numbers

trees, flowers, buildings/towers/windows/flags

reflections, patterns, costumes, water, sand, growing

or theme it with the season, Valentines, Easter, midsummer, and so on

Favourite Place? Person? Possession?

Handmade/Homemade?

Or some where the theme is based on a location:
View from my window?
In the lounge?

Light?

I love the idea of photo threads I love having an excuse to take photos!

pets,
favourite Disney photo,
non disney photo,
highlight of the weekend,
made me smile,
food,
where I live
