I'm leaving in 14 hours to get south for the first Eastern cruise on the Fantasy! Any ideas or advise anyone has for photos would be more than welcome!
I know the chandelier, the statue, the atrium as a whole, sunset, sunrise, the bow, Palo and all the restaraunts, but what has been on your mind to get?
My kit for this Journey
Pentax K5 and Kr, Tamron 16-50 f2.8, Peantax DA* 50-135, DA 12-24, FA 50 f1.4, Vivtar Macro 100 f3.5, also bringing my Sigma 400mm, Tripod, monopod (for the 400) remote, and anything else I can squeeze in the bag. This trip I'm going to steer away from the primes if at all possible thats why I'm not bringing them, I just dont want to miss a photo op by switching lenses.

I figure I'm keeping the 12-24 on the Kr its my favourite lens, but will swith it to the K5 for after hours shooting, but want ot keep the 50-135 on the K5 while out and about mainly for the weather sealing. For the last 2 weeks I've only used my 50 and 135mm primes to get that framing in my mind. Sounds weird I'm sure but I'm hoping it works!

What are your thoughts for my game plan? Harsh criticism is fine....

If you haven't already, you may want to check out Trey Ratcliff's photos from his recent Fantasy Cruise. Here is the link for his Cruise photos, although he hasn't released many yet:

I took quite a few photos on a recent Dream cruise to the Bahamas. I mostly used the 24-105mm f/4.0, switching to a 50mm f/1.4 for many interior / dinner shots.

Was busy with family, so didn't really search out special photo ops. I would suggest spending some time on Deck 13 at sunrise or sunset - you can get some interesting shots with the radar and other stuff.

I don't regret not having a longer lens for the Bahamas cruise, but maybe you'll have more opportunities to use one. Looking forward to your pics.

Oops - just noticed you are probably already enroute - have fun!
