Hi all,
Just got our Disney confirmations through our travel agent: to the House of Mouse in T-12 days and counting!

Question: the sheet listing our reservation numbers has some conditions at the bottom, one of which states that we are to present photo I.D. when we check in for each meal.

Seriously? I don't drive...do I REALLY have to carry my passport around with me all day? Isn't the KTTW sufficient?

To check in for your meals, you should be fine without your ID.

However, you may need an ID anyway if you plan on ordering liquor, change to your CC or KTTW, or if there is an emergency. You should always carry ID with you.

I don't go into the parks without ID, ever. But I can carry a drivers license, and not a passport.

In addition to the reasons listed above, if your tickets get demagnetized or just don't work, you may need an ID to have them fixed. If you lose your key card, you may need an ID to get another one.

I don't recall ever being asked for an ID for any restaurant reservation, except some Food & Wine Festival events. On occasion I have been asked for an ID before using a Tables in Wonderland membership.

if you don't drive and do not have a license, most states issue a state ID card at the local motor vehicle office. This will give you another form of gov't issued ID and you will not have to carry your passport

If your state does not have the state ID another option might be the passport card. It is the size of a license so it is easy to carry. You can order the same way as a regular passport.

The OP may be from another country... Would WDW accept a non-passport photo identification card from another country as ID?

I would assume photo ID would be needed for those eating at restaurants with which have the Annual Pass discount and they would need to check the ID of the person who will be paying to get the discount.

Yes, take your passport with you.

We had a problem with a DL from my province in Canada when trying to get into Jelly Rolls for my friends 30th B-Day. The doorman said they don't allow DL's from outside the US as ID to get in there.

You should always carry some sort of picture ID with you.

When the Adventuers Club was still open I went there with some friends of mine from Orlando and they wouldn't accept my Ontario Health Card as ID to give me a wristband if I wanted to purchase a drink with alcohol. Had I knew that in advance I would have brought my Passport.
