Help a photo I'm trying to post is going sideways and then upside down when I took it in landscape and idk what to do

Since a recent update, any photos that were taken on phones will post in landscape format, regardless of how you held the phone to take it.

What I do is to go to the photo and do some sort of minor edit (I find removing one row of pixels works) and then posting it works.
