This is a first for the contest, a 3 way tie for first. Let's hear from the winners. What's the story behind these photos. Anything to share about getting these shots (technical or otherwise)?

First of all, thanks for the votes. I really like the other 2 shots so I'm honored to be tied with them. There wasn't anything real special about taking this picture. I was just walking around the park with my camera and tripod after closing and decided to capture something in this area. It was vacant for the most part but there was an "upper-level" CM messing with the trash can you can see just to the right of the foremost stairway. It was originally in front of the stairs but she was moving it around while talking on a 2-way radio and I thought she would never get done. So, I waited patiently but then I hear a rather boisterous group of people coming from the other side of the treehouse. They saw me set up there and started yelling, "hey, a camera guy. Take our picture!". They were coming from the direction of Club 33 and it was obvious they weren't drinking regular iced tea. ;) They were really nice folks though and immediately struck a goofy pose, but I was set up for a long exposure. I quickly changed a couple of settings to include the flash and snapped their shot. I didn't think it turned out but later I noticed it actually did and it's quite funny. Too bad I don't know how to get it to them. So, after that, I was able to finally get the shot that you see. Below is the EXIF data. Thanks again for voting. :goodvibes

I want to thank everyone for the votes as well. I love photography and am just getting started--being in this final with so many terrific photographers is a real morale booster.
I owe my picture to golf! LOL--Hubby went to play 18 that morning: I took the camera and started wandering around. I decided to climb the treehouse that morning --hadn't done that in 20 years. I just liked the look of that book laying open on the desk--seemed to capture the spirit of the place. If I'd have known better, I'd have moved a bit to eliminate the lens flare. The only trick in the photo was to hold the camera steady since I didn't want to use flash.
Again, thanks for voting! I guess I'll send hubby back out again during our next trip in December!
