I'm considering making one of these for my DD's graduation..... I don't have time to make a scrapbook but it looks like I may be able to handle this. Has anyone use Shutterfly or Costco for these?

Also, if they are older pictures (not digital) do you just scan them in as a jpeg file? Thanks for any information.

DW just created one on Snapfish with our Christmas pictures. We haven't gotten it yet, but hopefully, it'll turn out nice.

And yes, if you scan in older pictures, you can save them as a .jpg file for upload. :)

I had a photobook made for DH's grandparents anniversary and I can't believe how well it came out! I ordered the book through the photo lab of an elecrtronics store and it really exeeded my expectations. I know some people who ordered it through MyPublisher.com and they were all thrilled with them.

I made a little one with Shutterfly. I thought it turned out really cute. :)

I made books for my mom and my mother-in-law for Mother's Day last year. I used Mypublisher.com, and the books were SO nice. (I just did the least expensive one - the soft cover - since I wasn't sure how nice they'd be. Didn't want to spend a fortune on the more expensive ones if they weren't nice.)

They LOVED the books. I do have to say that the pictures that I had to scan in because they were older than digital pictures didn't look as good as the digital shots, but they still looked nice.

I just contacted MyPublisher and you can upload drawings, etc. with some limitations. Thanks everyone for your replies :)

I use Shutterfly all the time and they come out great. Every year, I make DD at least a couple of books, usually after summer and after a vacation. Sometimes, I will even do it while we are on vacation. I order it the last day and it is generally at home within a day or two of us arriving. Then DD can take the book to school for sharing (she is shy and this helps her speak in front of her friends). We also then have them for memories as I make sure to put them away when DD is done. I have tried scraping but it just gets away from me, this is a much better solution.

Just bumping this up to see if others have used online books.

I want to scan in several older pics but I'm not sure how they would turn out..... anyone have luck with older photos?
