Hi all-

Taking my first trip to WDW (in over 10 years) in about 30 days. I have nine ADRs set up but had to provide a phone number. I provided my cell since (obviously) that is what will be traveling with me.

My question is - will any of my ADR restaurants actually call or text me for any reason? I would like to keep my cell off as much as possible during the day (had an issue with work bugging me on my recent honeymoon) but don't want to mess up any ADRs.

Just curious as to why a phone number is needed and if used, for what purpose.:confused3

TIA!

They might call you if the restaurant is closed for some reason, or has been rented out to a private party, the day of your reservation.

Yes, that's happened before. If they call and leave a message, and you see anything with the area code 407, you should probably check it.

Thanks for the info! I will definitely be "selectively" checking my phone!:thumbsup2

That happened to us too. Disney called my cell phone # that was listed on the reservation and told me that they had to cancel our ADR for CG because the restaurant had booked a private Christmas party for the same night. They went out of their way to find us a new ADR for around the same time on the same date.
