I've asked various questions about making reservations for dinner. I'm totally overwhelmed with all the numbers I have received (and THANK YOU to all those that have responded)....

But....there are so many. I've gotten all of these, collectively:

407-503-dine general dining
407-224-3613 general dining
407-224-4012 IOA dining
407-224-3613 US dining (was given the same number as above)
407-224-FOOD main number for dining reservation

And here are some direct numbers for a few of the restaurants:
Spiderman Breakfast: 407-224-4012 (Island Dining Reservations)
Breakfast with the Simpsons: 407-224-4012
Mythos: 407-224-4012 (Island Dining Reservations) ????????
Margaritaville: 407-224-2155.
Emeril's: 407-224-2424
NBA City: 407-363-5919
Finnegans: 407-224-3613 (Universal Studios Reservations)
Lombard's: 407-224-3613 (Universal Studios Reservations)
Mama Della's: 407-503-DINE (3463)
Bice Ristorante: 407-503-1415
The Kitchen: 407-503-DINE
The Palm Restaurant: 407- 503-7256
Tchoup Chop: 407-503-CHOP (2467)

Wow.....

Is there ONE number (like Disney has just one number for all restaurants) to call?...or should I put all these numbers in my cell phone.

Thanks again for all the info. You guys are like the Buddha's of Universal.

Really, we can't stress enough that Universal is not like Disney. ADRs are not necessary in 95% of the restaurants in both the parks and City Walk.

As Phamton mentioned in your other post, many of the restaurants don't even take reservations after 5 or at the earliest, 24 hours in advance.

The only two restaurants that need advance reservations are Emerils and Emerils Tchoup Chop. And these can be done via www.opentable.com

Occasionally, it is necessary to get advance dining reservations for the character breakfasts, probably more necessary for Simpsons than Spidey as it is brand new. So, your numbers above for those two are good.

Otherwise, just go to the dining cart in the parks in the morning to secure your reservations for the afternoon, evening or next day. I can't remember where the one in Universal is, but the dining cart in Islands of Adventure is at the end of the entrance walkway, just to the left as if you were to turn toward's Hulk. If I remember correctly, it is right next to the big sign that gives the wait times for the various rides in the parks.

You can also call from your hotel room to secure dining reservations. Call Star Services and they will connect you to the dining line. There may even be a dining button to push on the room phone, but don't quote me on that.

Or, if staying on site, the easiest thing is to just use your hotel key to get FOTL for the restaurants.

One of the wonderful things about the Universal vacation - you don't have to plan months in advance where you are going to eat. You can be impulsive with absolutely no consequences. You can eat when it is convenient to you and you can eat where you feel like it that day.

Relax and just enjoy :goodvibes :goodvibes

We go several times a year, usually during busy times like mid-summer or holidays such as Thanksgiving. We have yet to make a reservation and we have never waited for more than 15-20 minutes for a table even during the busiest times using our FOTL passes.

ditto on what goofy said.

no one makes ressies's with the exception of the new simpson breakfast and large group for mythos.

or maybe mythos that morning you plan to be there.

at finnegans if the park is crowded, just go to the podium and have your name put on the list for that day.

it is that simple.

i have never made a ressie for mythos or any place.

i did once last year put my name on the list for finnegans.
was called for a seat within 5 minutes.........really no wait at all.

Thank you for putting everything together like this, I copied entire post!! Thanks

The list was posted here but the most important information was left off:
Many of the restaurants do not take reservation for dining after 5:00 PM. Others will only take reservations as early as 24 hours in advance. In most cases, just stopping at the dining cart and making your reservation the day you plan to dine, works best. The ones that may need advanced reservation are Emerils, Spiderman breakfast, Simpsons Breakfast, Mythos, and Tchoup Chop.

I only posted the list in case someone wanted to get reservations at one or two special places, as most will not take reservations more than 24 hours in advance. The dining cart is in Citywalk and in both parks at the entrance. Just stop at one of them when you arrive if you are worried. As the others have stressed, this isn't Disney dining.

I stopped at Margaritaville yesterday at 1:00 PM and only had a 10 minutes wait. The parks were extremely busy and I didn't have any problem at all just walking up with no reservations. In fact, there were lots of huge tour and school groups wandering around Citywalk and still no problem.

And FWIW

Bice and NBA City are also available through opentable.com
