I thought I'd heard a tip to check your reservation with the actual resort you'd be staying at. I cannot seem to find the direct number to reach the Port Orleans Riverside to confirm with them. I'm a first-timer so maybe this isn't even possible but I thought I'd read that tip....

Don't bother calling until you're within 5 days of arrival though. Prior to then, the resort will have no information on your reservation and will transfer you back to CRO/WDTC.

There's really no reason to call the resort directly to confirm. As long as you have your written confirmation you'll be fine. I think what you might be thinking about is faxing the resort three days in advance with specific room or view requests.

Hey Jeny,

If it makes you feel better call, even if it's CRO. I've called several times and I'm sometimes surprised that something's been left off my reservation. I like to keep on top of things, especially when booking as far in advance as I do.

I've even called the resort directly and spoken to cm regardings rooms and locations. Most have been very helpful.

Have your requests noted on your reservation and then fax them to the attention of the room assigner at the resort, 3 or 4 days before arriving.
