Hello,

my DD (5) just started watching this show on the Disney channel...we suddenly lost all interest for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny for this weird-looking show. I have some issues with the language (words like "jerk" and incessant whining "mo-oooommm") and it just looks so different. :confused3

Any parents out there like this show? Dislike it? I am trying to decide if this stays on our allowed TV shows list. I have surfed around and some people are so into it...

TIA!

I LOVE Phineas and Ferb almost as much as the kids do. There really isn't that much whining. In fact, only 1 character ever whines, and the language... Well, it is no worse than on other shows targeted at the older than pre-school aged crowd. We haven't had any problems with our girls using the term "jerk." They know it isn't allowed even if it is on tv.

One of my favorite things about the show is that eventhough it is a perpetual summer vacation, you never EVER hear anyone say "I'm bored." The kids amuse themselves, play outdoors, and go on lots of fabulous adventures (both real and imaginary).

And it has some really catchy tunes. Gitchi Gitchi Goo is actually my ringtone. LOL!!!

I love phineas and ferb as much as my kids do, I think it is so funny!

LOVE this show I watch it all the time with my three kids. I always bug my kids by saying What...cha...doin?????

That's so funny. I always do the same thing to my girls. Of course, they'll do it to me, too, though.

Me too!!!!!! it's hilarious, we have no problem with it here. Now where did you get that ringtone?

I got it off one of the free ringtone sights. Here's one...

And another one....

I forget which one I ended up using though. My other ringtone is the music from Fantasmic!

My DS(4) also just got into this show, and I am pretty picky about what he watches but no worries- this is definitely a Disney (not Nick) show! I just want to know if there is anything in the parks- he loves them so much!

My DD, also 4, loves this show as do DH and I. In fact we Tivo it all the time.

Whenever we watch a show, any kind of show, my dd tells us which character we all are...so dd is Isabella, DH is Phineas, and somehow I became Candace :scared1:

I really don't care for it! DIStwins are 10, though, almost 11, and as pp stated, it's more on the harmless side than some of the other shows they'd like to be watching. I don't find it really that bad, just not in the best taste sometimes.

When this show first popped on and sucked my 5 yo old in I wasn't too impressed but it was instant love for him so I decided to give it a shot and set the DVR to record it. It took a few episodes for me to really notice just how clever this show is. It's hilarious and something dad and mom enjoy watching as much as the little ones do. How many shows can do that?

The ONLY P&F thing I found anywhere at Disney was a DVD, which we bought and watched during what little down time we had. Oh, and I was able to get a shot of this guy at Fort Wilderness:

"Oh, there you are Perry!"
;)

It doesn't have a whole lot of educational value, but it's fun for the whole family.. and for the most part it's pretty good natured.

I love this show just as much as my kids who are 6 and 11. Candace is my favorite and I feel her pain!:lmao: I just think the show is so funny and not crude or inappropriate for my kids at all.

When we were in WDW in Jan. there were some T-shirts available in kids and adult sizes.

Wow! I need to know where you were able to buy Perry?

We're big lovers of this show here too. Our favorite episode is when they try to get the Love Handels back together. We watch "Ain't Got No Rhythm" on YouTube a lot. LOL

What about the song "squirrels in your pants"? :lmao: :rotfl:
I almost died laughing at that one!!

OMG I am saving that to tile format on my desktop LOL!:yay:

We are another family that loves Phin & Ferb. We do the same as everyone else...repeat the quotes, watch the episodes as a family over and over, and love the songs. Now if only there was a Phin & Ferb soundtrack...then maybe when it is just DS3 and I in the car we could listen to something other then Handy Manny.:lmao:

DS, 4, has that Perry! He loves it! We all watch Phineas & Ferb together. We love it. It did take a couple of episodes to realize how clever it really is.

Best. Episode. Ever.

We love it. I appreciate the musicality of the show and the "inside" jokes that happen from episode to episode. And, I will note, I'm a fussy mom about what my kids watch on TV. :cool2:
