Philly to Vegas in October - airfare?

Planning a midweek trip and am not liking the airfare prices. I have never been to Vegas and I always thought that it would be fairly cheap to go. Am seeing prices between $300-400.

Already have hotel, so booking a vacation package isn't an option.

Are there usually cheap sales for October in August or September? Thanks!

You didn't specify your dates, but I played with some on Southwest. Usually could get a decent airfare one direction but not the other. It was in the $325 to $350 range for the best rates.

A lot depends on your travel dates and days of the week.

Not sure where you live, but have you looked into flying out of Atlantic City (ACY) or Newark (NWR)? Flights are usually cheaper out of both.

Thanks! I did look out of ACY and EWR and found similar prices. I keep checking Southwest and their prices are similar to USAIR (but not as many options).
