Haaaaa Yeah i used to get them when i got tokens to get the bus to MS and HS.

(Philly kids don't get yellow buses past elementary grades. We had Septa charter buses in the morning but had to find our own bus route home. There wasn't a regular route in my neighborhood so i had to walk over a mile)

Eh, I KNOW they were tokens!!! It was just mixed in with the coins!

I found one similar on Ebay but it was for school children only and it's from the mid 40's.

Yep, I also used tokens to take SEPTA to school. I only did that for middle school because my grade and high schools were in walking distance.

I went to Lincoln. Didn't graduate from there because we moved. I was there in the 8th grade before the middle school (which WRECKED! our sledding hill) was built. Lived 1 1/2 blocks from it on Tudor street. Went to Forrest Elementry.

Ahhh GW...We were always jealous that you guys had fast food in your lunchroom.

I think i went to the Gifted Program at Baldi. (It had a seperate wing.)

That was back in the mid 80's. I graduated HS in 90. My cousin should have gone to GW but his parents made him go to Central. I think some of my DBIL's brothers went to GW.

I still have an unopened pack of the gold and silver 'school' tokens! And a handful of the adult tokens as well.

LOL! Yep, I had fries, Coke and cookies almost every day. Amazed that I wasn't obese. I guess my metabolism was great then, lol!
