Let's go Phillies!! I so hope they clinch tonight. Friday at home would be cool too but I don't like the agony.

I was in Veteran's stadium when the Phillies clinced the World Series in l980.

GO PHILLIES!!!!!

1 - 0 and it's only the first batter!!!!!!!

Go Phillies!

I was at game 1 of both the NLDS and NLCS. Both were awesome! I also have tickets to game 7 of the NLCS, but they HAVE to clinch before then. I couldn't deal with the stress.

I have tickets to game 5 of the World Series. As much as I would like to see them sweep, I hope that it goes to game 5 so that I can watch a World Series game in person. That would be a first for me.

Why is the Dodger stadium soo empty - it's the PLAYOFFS!!!! DH heard on the radio that their fans have already given up. A Phillies fan said he got a ticket today for the game for $12. That's crazy.

I'd LOVE to go to the World Series - stub hub was selling for $675 a ticket. Man I wish I was rich:) Have fun!!! If you get sick PM me;)

I was at Mondays games about 6 rows back of the Dodger dugout, looked for tickets to this game on ebay... Selling well below face value(post season prices), but nothing I found was near the $12 range

Always reaches capacity around the 3rd inning, 5:20 games are right at the height of rush hour traffic.

rush hour thing makes sense. Don't know if the guy on the radio was exagerating or not. I personally didn't hear it.

I guess folks don't know... Dodger fans have a history of showing up late and leaving early. It really isn't about rush hour. It is just what they do there. They go to see people and be seen. The game is secondary for many.

Did you see Ryan Seacrest on his Blackberry the whole time the other night? He didn't even look up (when they were showing him). Their fans def. don't look as energetic ad Phillie fans

Buncha posers... :rotfl:

I really wish they'd put Coste in. I know he had one AB (he's batting 1.000 :)) but I'd like to see him play.

The more I think about it the more the rush hour excuse gets me. If I had playoff tixs I would probably take the day off from work or at least leave early enough to get there on time. Come on man it's the playoffs!!!

We're smokin them!!!

I agree, but it was crazy on Sunday and Monday till phillies put it away. It is always easier to be loud and energetic when you are up, credit to your team they took the fans out.

As for Papa Dueces post... nevermind

Don't admit it.... it's been written up in books, and news articles... and gets talked about all over sports radio on a national level.... It's a fact that they come late and go home early.... I don't care if YOU don't or can't admit it. It just is.

That is not to say there are no good Dodger fans. There are. Los Angeles can't even keep an NFL team... how embarrassing is that?

It is not just an excuse, until you have tried driving into the stadium you wont understand.

The entrances and parking lot were designed in the 50s, and not really well. It is almost as if they tried to intentionally design a car bottleneck. Even on weekends it can take an hour to get a parking spot(and exiting is worse), now combine that with rush hour. Yes we(fan since the 70s) tend to get there late, because we choose to avoid as much of the headache as possible.

but I did see the national anthem before Mondays game, first time all year I saw the opening pitch. And we did not leave early, then it took about 45 minutes to get on the freeway.

I have no issue with that assertion, yes we like avoiding traffic and we have our reasons... It was your other comments that I felt were vintage Papa Deuce.

As for the NFL thing, just thank the LA city council they bluffed and the NFL called.
