WHAT?!?! They canceled the snow? How did you find that out?

Go to amy-bruckner.net. That has the best details, but now is the time to start sending in phonecalls and e-mail if you appreciate the show like many others do. I believe they are claiming lack of fan support but obviously that is not true, so I suspect something else is making them do this (*cough, Aly and AJ, cough*)

Just remember that the DIS is not a place to organize letter (or e-mail) campaigns. I'll let this thread stay because it doesn't give any addresses to send protests to, but please keep it on the topic of the cancelled show rather than a protest.

Thank You.

It's likely all of the shows produced on The Disney Channel will stop production after completing 100 episodes. That is the minimum number you need to sell a series into syndication. The little bit of revenue you might get by having more episodes doesn't offset the cost of making additional shows. I believe the same thing happened to 'Lizzie McGuire'.

The networks think with 100 episodes you can show them 5 days a week and make it seem like your showing the same ones over and over again. And because the shows appeal to such a narrow age range, just about the time kids get tired of the show, there's a new batch just hitting junior high that will start watching the show, making it "new" to them. They can keep selling the same 100 shows over and over again with having to spend money making new ones.

It's all about the money.

I agree that it's all about money Voice, but the 100 episode rule does work well in this case, wouldn't you agree? I mean Lizzie grew up during those 100 episodes and 4-5 years (if thats what it was) and the content would have to change as they'd grown but the grown Lizzie fans aren't in the main Disney TV demographic. Therefore every 100 episodes new shows, new characters and new favorites for a new batch of demographic fitting kids are created.

BTW X, I like Raven just fine.

The rule is 65 and Phil of the Future is going to stop at 44....its a shame because this series really deserved better. Disney handled this really poorly IMO.

OK, I'll bite. First the disclaimer, I have a seven year old daughter, so watching this show is out of necessity.

I liken the premise to Giligan's Island. But, in this case, a family trying to get out of this time period (instead of off an island) and coping with the here and now in the meantime. You can only take that joke so far. So, what seems to have happened is that the show has morphed into much more of a teens dealing with teen issues show. Then, jump the shark with that cave man guy, and you have the writing on the wall for cancellation.

Teens dealing with teen issues is about what the other Disney shows stand for. The cave guy came relatively early and doesn't really play a major part in the show. The best episodes came AFTER his appearance so I'm not sure how they jumped the shark with him. In any case, its a pretty decent show compared to all the garbage out there.

Sheesh! I didn't think anything on the Disney channel was any good any more. Talk about a vast wasteland. {kind of like most of television these days}

It's not the worst show on Disney but it was its time. As always a new show to replace it must be right around the corner.

I love this show too. I just started watching it, and DH even likes it - and that's saying something. Man.... :mad:

It is a shame when the good shows end too soon. 44 episodes does seem short in comparrison to the 65 episode ruin that Lizzy and Even Steven's had. It's a cute show.
