Very enjoyable game yesterday in Brisbane, I was a little fatigued by the end of the game ( and not from too much beer for a change ;) )
Well played to Wales who put in a very entertaining performance and hopefully a few willies up a couple of the English team that need to "switch on" in we're to win this tournement.

On to France in Sydney next week and given the Aussies seem to hate them even more than they hate us we might get some non biased reporting and media until the game's over. Having watched the game live and then on TV it actually wasn't that bad a performance from England, indeed it needed to be pretty damn good in order to beat back an inspired Welsh team. Might not have been pretty but a lot to build on for next weeks game. I think Mr Catt may get a starting berth and use the "two targets ploy" ( him and Jonny Wilco) that worked so well in the last 6 nations game to confuse Serge Betson again.

Hope alls well in dear Blighty :D

Not that I know anything about rugby;) But DH enjoyed the game yesterday too LOL :)

Glad you are having fun!

That's not what they are saying over here! The sports presenters are sounding worried about England's chances Vernon, and are questioning our chances of reaching the final!

Can't comment on the tactics as although I saw some of the game - the boys were glued to it - I don't fully understand it, but I do ask where would we be without Johnny Wilkinson!

Carry on having a wonderful time cheering on the lads - we want to win!

.. any theme parks out there, vernon?! Sounds like a great time. Must admit, from a position of great ignorance, I have seen highlights of a few of the games, as they seem to be getting more tv time than ever,... and it's getting a bit addictive! Someone asked me how England had done, in the pub yesterday, just before my first love, soccer (Man u v Lpool) came on.. and I knew the score!! Come on England!!

Hi Mike,
A few theme parks here in the Brisbane area, There is a Warner Bros World and a SeaWorld but I don't think it's part of the Anhauser Busch group that controls SW and Busch gardens in the US. I went to Steve Irwin's (The crocodile hunter on TV and film) Zoo Australia yesterday and I thought it was a very well conceived and laid out zoo. For any one coming to Brisbane it's well worth the hour's drive to get there. Particularly so in the future as they are working on a $40 mill building program at the moment. For aussie$23 (about 9 pounds) for the day well worth the money.

Onwards and upwards (well actually down to Sydney ) tomorrow. Sunday's going to be a great match I hope.

looking forward to the final, vernon?

Ignorant Yank question. Why do you guys sing "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" for the English team? This is an American spirtual, closely identified with African Ameircan slaves. The only place we sing this is church or at a funeral (in church).
