We have one in our area but never been. My DW is very, very picky about eating Chinese food. Most of our local chinese places are typical buffet style foods, even when you order off the menu. What I mean is fatty, grizzly type cuts of meat. She likes the Honey Sesame Chicken at Nine Dragons, since the chicken is well groomed:lmao: (no fat).

So, since there is a PFC in the Orlando area, wondered if anyone could tell me how it is? Any recommendations on what to order? Do they have kids menu?

My Husband and I LOVE PF Changs - they have excellent cuts of meat (beef and chicken), the freshest shrimp we have ever eaten out. They do have a kids menu. I HATE greesy food, but haven't found that there. A few of our fav's: lettuce wraps, mongolian beef, sechuan by the sea (shrimp or calamari), tam's noodles (come with beef and shrimp). . .

check it out, ...it will be worth it. The sauces are all fresh, the veges are fresh, and the meats are not greasy fatty like some chinese places..you will love it.

P.F. Chang's is great. Their food is more authentic and much more healthy (IMO). They have a honey chicken dish that is good.

Is that near WDW? Maybe we'll go there instead of Bahama Breeze on our next trip.
I loved the one in Santa Monica.

I second this:hippie: The food is great fresh and they also serve brown rice I'm not saying fried greasy rice:scared: , nice healthier brown rice:wizard: .

We love PF Changs!! When we were in Columbia, SC we would drive to Greenville, SC (an hour or so away) just to have a special meal at PF Changs.
Now we will have to drive 2 hours to Jacksonville for the nearest one:sad2:

PF Changs is AWESOME...you and your wife will love it. The food is wonderful and more upscale than eating at a local chinese spot. I would say that it's not overly kid friendly tho (orlando could be different) - we've taken our kids locally and they just eat what we eat as I dont recall a special kids menu or even kids cups for that matter. Maybe someone can give you more specific info on that aspect.

Food recommendations:

The chicken lettuce wraps appetizer are HEAVENLY
Beef & Broccoli is super yummy
Lemon Chicken is good
Sweet and Sour Chicken or Pork are both nice - the sns sauce at PF changs is lighter in color and has a better flavor than the bright red sns sauce you might be used to.
Chicken Lo Mein is delish

The only thing we've tried and didnt like was the Crab Wontons and we didnt like them because they were crab heavy rather than cream cheese heavy. Most people probably like more crab meat tho, so there ya go :)

Enjoy!!!
Robin

PF Changs is excellent.

You do not starve nor do you go broke unless you start feasting on apps, drnks, etc. We have never had a bad meal and no entree is weighed down in fat. The breading is very light and the flavors aren't drowned out.

Thanks for all the replies! Im so inspired I think I will try to con DW into going to our local PFC.

sooooo where is it??? :confused3

Im not sure where in Orlando it is. I looked on PFCs website but couldnt pull up locations for some reason. Only reason I knew of one in Orlando was because I remember reading about it somewhere in the past here on the boards. Hope someone will be able to answer for you.

I just had lunch there the other day! There is one right down the road from where I work.

I LOVE the chicken lettuce wraps.. I always get the coconut curry veggie plate... and the plum wine is soooo good.

Everything there is great though. I highly recommend it it's my fav. place to eat!

I agree with everyone, PF Chang's is great food. :thumbsup2

A word of caution, however. If either of you are on a diet, check out their website for nutritional information. There's quite a lot of fat in many of the entrees. When I was on WW, there was very little there I could eat wihout going way over my point allowance.

As for a kids menu, I'm not sure. We took DD a few weeks ago and she got a big plate of lo mein noodles that wasn't on the menu. She was in heaven eating them with the chopsticks, and it kept her occupied.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE PF Changs!!! Ours (Ohio) does not have kids menu, but my kids love the crispy honey chicken - they split it and there is plenty for both of them ( 12 and 6 yrs). I'll "3rd" the vote for the lettuce wraps - GOTTA get them!!

Nice classy, friendly place!!! They play with the chop sticks to keep them busy, and our Changs is FAST at getting your food out!

TRY IT!! You'll love it!

Love:
Phil's better lemon chicken or shrimp
Chang's spicy chicken
crispy honey shrimp or chicken
orange.....chicken....
veggie platter
lots more!!

Just don't order the Great Wall of Chocolate for desssert. The website says it has over 2,200 calories!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Thanks for all the replies folks! After reading your reviews, I got DW talked into trying it. We went Thurs night to one that is about 20 miles from our home. The place was packed with an hour wait. It was late so we decided to give it a try some other time. But she was impressed that it was so packed! So thanks to all who responded, we may finally have a chinese restaurant, besides Nine Dragons to finally go to. Woo- Hoo!!

Glad you liked it so well. I'm going to add a comment or two that I didn't see on the thread:

We just ate at PFC on Saturday. There is no kid menu per se, but there are kid friendly items. Everything is seperate, ala carte, family syle meals. No combo meals here. Bring your own crayons and coloring books or hand held game. I liked the food and hear the lettice wraps are good too.
