We'll be staying at the Poly wiht our 2 1/2 and 4 yr old and would like to spend an evening at FW going to the Petting Zoo and Trails End and then the sing along. I've never been to FW and have no clue how to navigate around there. We won't have a car so we'll be using Disney transportation.

So first question is - once we arrive at FW how do we find the petting zoo and Trail's End and the Campfire sing along location? Are they far apart from one another or within walking distance. Once we arrive via boat to FW, what do we do from there?

How do I find out what the petting zoo hours are (early Dec) and the sing along? Oh and does anyone know what the age is for pony rides and how much it costs?

Sorry for so many questions but I figure HERE is the best place to ask!

First off there is no longer a petting zoo at the fort.

They do have pony rides and you can't be over so tall. It is 5 bucks and you lead the pony around the circle.

If you take the boat over it will drop you off right at
the settlement trading post. That is right accross from TE. the pony rides are right next to TE.

From there you can either take a bus or walk to the singalong and campfire.
The orange bus will take you to the meadows trading post and the campfire is right behind and over the bridge.

Hopes this helps alittle. I am sure others will chime in with more info.

That is VERY helpful, thanks! Sad to hear no more petting zoo but I suppose that can be done at Animal Kingdom anyhow. But yeah on the pony rides. DDs will be 2 1/2 and almost 4 so hopefully they are able to do that!

Anyone else with more info - I'll take whatever help/advice I can get!! :worship:

Actually, the pony rides have a weight restriction, 80lbs, not a height restriction.

You'll get a handy dandy package at check-in that will include a map of everything, events schedule for the week, etc.

In the meantime, there's lots of good info in the FAQ sticky HERE

So exciting to hear about your trip "picaboo" - we are also staying at the Polynesian in December of 2009 - so excited too!!!

But first we are coming in June to the Wilderness Lodge and want to spend an evening at Ft. Wilderness!

We are also going to Trail's End then the Campfire - can't wait!!!

My son will be 3 1/2 when we go in June...he loves animals and Chip-n-Dale and singing and movies and anything else he can do except for going to bed! :)

Make sure you hit Planet Watch at Animal Kingdom, they have a Petting Zoo and the Cast Members also walk around with different animals that you can touch, things like lizards and snakes.

We love the campfire so make sure you hit that for sure and take your autograph book because Chip and Dale will be there signing! Have a wonderful time.
